One year later...The sound of the ocean washing by the shore was so pleasant. It had become your favorite noise. Especially at night. It seemed more louder, when everything was quiet.
It's always quiet though.
You yawned getting up from the edge of the mattress. You looked to the side where the nightstand stood, a clock on top reading the time.
"Three in the morning..."
You groaned in frustration. You haven't been sleeping well since you've got here. You miss the comfort of your real bed, the one you've been staying in for years in Paradis. Living somewhere completely out of Paradis is so difficult.
You got up from the bed and quietly left your room, closing the door shut. You turned to look down the hallway, empty. It was a narrow hallway that would lead straight to the front door.
You walked out of the small house, letting the cold breeze hit your face, you sighed and sat down on the steps.
A/N: misery loves company by gorgeous bully
You inhaled the outside air through your nostrils, closing your eyes. The only good thing living here was the ocean, it reminded you of home, when the scouts had discovered the ocean for the first time.
The way you stayed back with Hange and Levi as you saw your friends, all in their small trio. You felt like you didn't fit in quite well with them. Armin, Mikasa and Eren were childhood friends. While Jean, Sasha and Connie were a whole different thing. They understood each other and goofed around.
You regret not going into the ocean and playing with them. How dumb you were to think there would have been another time.
You wipe the tears away from your cheeks.
You wonder how everyone is doing. Especially Jean.
How is he doing?
There are days when you regret being here with him. You regret not going back home. You regret not being in your original room. You miss going to the grave and visiting your family. You regret not kissing Jean.
Wait...huh?
You hear him whisper your name.
You flinch and turn your head to the direction of the front door to see him.
Eren looks down at you blankly then towards the ocean, his eyes having that longing look he gets when he looks towards there.
"It's late." He says looking back down at you with the same tone and blank look.
"I know that." You stare back at him, mirroring his actions.
He furrows his brows and pulls you by the wrist, making you hiss at the harsh pull.
"I said, it's late." He says again.
"What are you so bothered by-" he interrupts you.
"Stop fooling around."
You frown and crack your neck, following him back inside, shutting the front door. "I'm not, I just couldn't sleep Eren."
You walk towards his room following him in.
