Every girl needs her best friend, who in fact is also a girl.

A girl friend.

A girl you can tell anything to, without feeling embarrassed. Someone you can trust, someone who understands you in everything. Someone who goes through the same things as you.

The girl you can giggle with about the cute boys, who lets you borrow their makeup when you ask, no jealousy or envy between each other because you genuinely care for one another.

Almost sisters.

Well, your first girl friend?

Annie Leonhart.

Annie wasn't like the other girls. She wasn't very kind or sweet, like Historia. Nor was she funny and energetic like Sasha. She was just Annie. And you liked Annie.

The way you two became friends you'd say it was fate.

You just kept randomly getting partnered up with her, getting into the same teams or when all the girls had to choose a partner and she was the only other girl there.

You saw Annie as a friend. But you don't know if she ever saw you as one, if she ever reciprocated it.

She'd roll her eyes at the things you'd say, elbow you a little too hard. Glare daggers at you whenever you won at a spar. That then led to a fight outside while everyone chanted and bet their lunch at who'd win.

Newsflash, no one betted on you.

"That's just the way Annie shows she cares."

Connie and Sasha gaped at you.

"Cares?" Connie said with a scoff mixed with a laugh.

You frowned, criss crossed in the boys barracks in the middle of Connie's bed beside Sasha who was currently stuffing sweets under Connie's pillow.

"Yes, cares. Seriously she's actually not bad."

Sasha said your name pitifully, "Look, a friend doesn't always look like they're about to kill you for simply winning a spar."

"She was probably having a bad day."

Connie and Sasha glare.

"Okay! Look, today when we all go out to that place Connie was talking about she's going to redeem herself."

"You invited her?!" Connie screeched.

Sasha whined your name, "It was supposed to be just us!"

Connie twiddled his thumbs, "Well...I already invited Reiner and Bertholdt."

Sasha gasped.

"And...Marco and Jean." You quickly said. "But! Marco said if Jean doesn't go then he won't... so, I still need to convince Jean to go."

"So the whole 104th cadets are going." Sasha said with a glare sent to you and Connie.

"No...just...six of us?"

"Thirteen, Connie." You corrected.

"Thirteen?!"

"Where the hell did you get thirteen from?!"
