Chapter 11

Zane P.O.V

How long has it been..? A week? A month? A year? I don't know..I lost track of time. All I ever do is sit in this very room. Staring into space. I barely touch my food. I cant feel the mate bond..anymore. My eyes are puffy every morning. Scars on my wrist. Eye bags under my eyes. Percy...My eyes started getting teary when I think about him. I have had enough. I slowly got off the bed and walk into the bathroom. I have school...I took a quick shower and ran to my wardrobe. Putting on my clothes. My clothes can barely fit me anymore. I sighed and decided to lend Jez's shirts and pants. I walked out the room and to Leo's room, when I was about to knock on the door. I could hear moans emitting from their room, and I facepalmed so hard. I strutted back to my room, well not mine. I meant Leo's guest room. I quickly slipped on a skinny jeans and a turtle neck sweater. I had to hide my scars. No one knows. My appearance changed after so long. I stopped attending school for a while after all..that happened.
I left Leo's house early since they are busy and started walking to school. Once I got to school, no one seems to recognize me. My wolf never talked to me anymore. I must smelled like a human. Everyone is eyeing me like a meat, yes including the females. I walked into the building with my heads down and I ran into a something that felt like hard wall then I fell onto the floor.
'Are you ok?' A voice said. I look up so that I could get a view of that person. Before I knew it my eyes started watering, because the view in front of me is something I never ever want to see anymore. Yes..it is Percy.. With Charlie hanging onto his left arm.. My heart felt like its breaking all over again. I choked back on my tears and nods before getting up and scampering away. I better hope he did not recognize me..

I ran to the male washroom and get into a cubicle before taking out a box. I lift the lid up and inside of the box is a blade. I set the box down on the floor. Staring at the blade, I slowly place the blade on my wrist and drag it across my skin. I continue doing it until I am satisfied.
My vision started getting blurry as I watch the blood flow down from the cuts. I am losing too much blood and I might die..and today is just the first day of school. Oh well..Not like anyone cares. I slide down the wall of the cubicle as I stare down at the wound. I slowly closed my eyes and everything turned black. I could hear voice from distance but I couldn't make out what they were saying.

Percy P.O.V

I smell blood..the smell of this blood is so familiar...It feels like I know the taste and who this blood belong to. I looked at Charlie and sighs.
'Can you gimme a mo? Hun' I told her softly and she replied me with an OK.
I pulled my arm away from her hold and run toward the scent of blood and it leaded to the male washroom. . . Slowly I push the door open and what I see next is blood on the floor. It is flowing out from a cubicle. I kicked that one cubicle open and a male leaning against the cubicle wall. His eyes closed. He looks lifeless. His wounds are opened and not closing. Slowly I bend down and pick him up bridal style and run out of the washroom then to the infirmary. I knocked down the door and the nurse stared at me with a 'What the fuck' expression. I quickly set the bleeding male on the bed..I stared at him. He looked familiar..He smells like him. Zane..Where are you..
I quickly leave the infirmary after I said thank you to the nurse. I miss him..I miss Zane..Tears started welling up. Threatening to fall

Zane P.O.V

I slowly try lifting my eyelids. I squint my eyes trying to adjust to the bright light. Am I dead? Am I in heaven? I asked myself.
'No your not dead and your not in heaven' A female voice said..I tried turning my head to look at that person.
'Hello..My name is Prim. The nurse here' She said. I just nodded my head in response.
'Whats your name..' She asked me.
'Zane' I said softly.
She just stared at me and looked away.
' I changed your shirt. Your previous one got soaked in blood' She said and I nodded again.
'That mark. On your back. Its faint. But still can be seen. Are you mated..? To one of the Alphas?' She asked me. I nodded and then realize what I just did. I quickly shook my head .
'N-no I am not' I mumbled then pulls the cover over my head.
'I see' She said then it went all quiet. She started writing her report and all am doing is staring at my hands.

The door opened and I hear a voice.
'Is he OK?' Its Percy.
'Ya he is fine..His life was on the line tho'
'I see.'
'You should have seen the mark on his back. The mating mark. Its fading' Prim said.
'The poor boy..His mate must have left him.' Prim said softly.
'What person can leave his mate?!' Percy hollered.
You..Percy..You...
I sniffle quietly and tears started flowing down my cheeks. I hate you. Why must you do this..?
'Perhaps..You..My dear friend' Prim said.
Percy went speechless.
'You left him..Didn't you? Your engaged..' She mumbled. My eyes widen and tears started flowing down even more. I have nothing to live for anymore. I quickly push the cover away from me and get off the bed.
'I Hate You!! ' I screamed at Percy and ran out of the infirmary . I ran up the stairs and then to the roof.
I could hear someone chasing me. I opened the door to the roof and walked toward the railing.

'Stop!' Someone shouted. I turned around and see Percy , panting. I look away and puts my hand on the railing.
' Who are you..?' He asked me. I did not answer him. I slowly climb over the railing.
'No. Dont you dare! Come back here and lets talk' He told me
'You dont remember me..Right?' I asked him. 'Perhaps..this might make you remember' Slowly I took of the shirt I am wearing. Revealing the mating mark that is going to fade from my back.
'Do you remember now...My dear..No..I mean..Percy' I said softly. Percy open his mouth to say something
'Z-zane..' He stuttered. I smiled at him. Tears rolling down my cheek.
'I have nothing to live for anymore. This..is the end for me..' Slowly.. I stepped off the side. Before I could fall, someone caught my hand. Percy hands is holding mine. One more time, I looked up at Percy and smiled.
'Its time to let go. Percy. Your getting married..You no longer need me..' I said softly before using my other hand and pull his hand away from mine, letting go of my hand. I am falling. I took one last glance at Percy and I closed my eyes with a smile on my lips, I hit the ground with a loud thump and everything went black.
