EDITED

Back to Y/n POV

Seongnam walked into the room as you played cards with your ladies in waiting and Eungsik. You looked at him shocked seeing him there but your eyes quickly drifted to the blood that stained his clothes.

"Are you okay?" You asked getting up and walking over to him. He just smiled as you got closer.

"Much better now." He said as he kissed your forehead.

"Why are you covered in- Did you get involved in the fighting? Are you sure you're okay?" You said worried he was hurt or something bad had happened.

"They got to the throne room, I couldn't wait in the hiding spot anymore. I had to be with you. It wasn't until I got out here that I fought someone." He said trying to ease you.

"There were attackers here?" You asked clueless. Only looking at Seongnam.

"Don't worry they've all been defeated now." He said hugging you and holding you tightly. Comforting you. That's when you saw his arm.

"You're not okay." You pulled out of the embrace to look at his wound. Holding it softly as you moved the broken fabric to study the scratch. "You're so lucky this isn't deep. Jin can you get some medical supplies for me please?" You asked your court lady after slightly scolding your husband.

The two of you sat down whilst you waited for the supplies, Ms Kim quickly cleaning up the games and leaving with the other court ladies. Leaving the two of you with just Eungsik once the medical kit arrived. You started cleaning his wound and bandaging it up.

"Is everything okay with you? I was so worried you may have the baby." Seongnam said as you concentrated on his arm.

"I've just been trying to keep busy. It was scary knowing you weren't going to be here. I was more worried about you than giving birth. Next time send a message if you're going into a war meeting and you're going to miss dinner." He laughed at your last sentence trying to make light of the whole situation. "But Eungsik had been a great distraction." You smiled at your friend.

"Ofcourse" he kissed your forehead again.

"Kiss my lips."

"Well I thought-" Seongnam looked over at Eungsik, the boy getting the message and quickly leaving the two of you. You cut his excuse off by kissing him on the lips. It just felt so much more loving to you, although the forehead kiss was sweet it was quick. You wanted something that lasted longer and really showed you that he was with you right now.

"I decided that I will be in the birthing room for this child's birth." Seongnam announced a while later. You just looked at him a little confused.

"That goes against tradition and my family's wishes. The shaman-"

"Y/n I love and support you with everything however I don't agree with this whole thing. I want to be with you so I can help you as much as possible." He shared he thoughts.

"...the shaman said the male energy will offset the room if it's brand new."

"Well it won't be brand new, it's in the same room we conceived." You hit him at his cheeky words whilst he laughed. "I'm not lying though" he continued to laugh.

"You've gone back to your teenage ways crown prince."

"Why are you so formal? Crown Princess." You just rolled your eyes. Getting up "you best be prepared for your father's wrath." You said looking down at him as you held a hand out to let him up. He ignored your hand and got up himself.

"It will be fine. Don't worry about our ranks changing or anything of the such." Seongnam said getting serious.

"That's not what I'm worried about, I couldn't care less if we lived off of a cup a day of rice and that's all we could afford. What I worry about is the relationships with your family members, your mother and father not the Queen and king." He just looked at you as you spoke. "People in this palace only focus on their titles, they need to focus on their relationships more." You finished, not caring about your negative opinion to the crown but instead hoping your words would reach Seongnam and make him prioritise his family over his role as king.
