Chapter 5

*My POV*

I was helping Donnie with the ooze since EC was busy with Casey and KC was with Raph while April was doing who knows what. "All right, Donnie, you got this." I encouraged. Donnie exhales. "Okay. Dissolve the quadra-helix bonds and reverse the cohesion." Donnie said but then it clicked in our minds.

"Wait. That would mean..." I said as we looked at each other. "Is it really possible?" Donnie asked and I shrugged. 

*3rd POV*

Foot Soldiers were carrying crates from TCRI. "We have confirmation, Master Shredder. The canister of purple ooze is at police headquarters." Karai told her master. "Take a team. Recover it at all costs. I'll retrieve the first piece needed to open the portal." Shredder said.

"How many men do you want?" Karai asked her master. "This job is too important for just men. I'm bring with me the next generation of finally tuned combat soldiers." Shredder said thinking the soldiers he's bringing will straighten out. 

Those said soldiers, were... Bebop and Rocksteady. Who were eating barrels of spaghetti. They were eating like animals (pun intended). "Hey, uh, I've been meaning to ask you this, Rock. Do I look fat to you?" Bebop asked as he messed with his stomach. 

"Fat? Oh, no, buddy, no. You look really fat! That belly must be jelly because jam don't shake like that." Rocksteady said as him and Bebop began hitting Bebop's stomach. "My man!" Bebop said. "My man!" Rocksteady said. 

Shredder cleared his throat, and they straightened up really fast. Karai and Shredder were just looking at them bored. Bebop began slurping the spaghetti noodle he had on him before straightening up again. Shredder and Karai just looked at each other before looking at them.

*My POV*

Donnie and I were looking for Leo, wanting to tell him our discovery. "Oh, my God. Oh, my God." Donnie said. "Leo. Leo! Leo! Leo!" I called as Donnie, and I climbed up some stairs to see Leo sharpening his katanas.

"Leo! Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. This is amazing." Donnie said and Leo looked up at us as we got to him. "Leo, Leo, okay. You're not gonna believe this." I said as Leo looked at us. "Okay, we made a solution from a sample of the purple ooze, right, to expedite analysis of the isotope?" Donnie asked as Leo smiled slightly.

"But while we were waiting for it to catalyze, we started thinking, if the purple ooze can turn humans into animals, perhaps if properly reengineered..." I explained before we gestured for Leo to come over. 

"Watch this. Watch this." Donnie said as Leo came over to us. "It could turn you... into humans." I explained as Donnie dropped a droplet of the purple ooze on his hand, which turned into a human hand like mine, just green.

I held my hand up to Donnie's showing Leo. Leo was deep in thought, and Donnie and I followed after him. "If we could get our hands on more of this stuff, it could be life changing!" Donnie said happily.

Leo suddenly faced us. "We don't need that kind of change." Leo said to us, but mostly to Donnie. My wings fluttered slightly, and I tucked them into my back sadly. "Okay. You're right. To blend in with humans could compromise our strategic advantage. We have a system that works. We shouldn't mess with the formula." Donnie said sadly before we turned to walk off.

"And, Donnie, hon." Leo said before we faced him. "Hmm?" I asked confused. "Listen. You can't say a word of this to the others." Leo said to us, and we just nodded slightly before I kissed his cheek and walked off with Donnie sadly.

*3rd POV*

What they didn't notice was that Mikey heard the whole thing. He had a hurt look on his face. He looked at his hand, before he ran off to tell Raph and KC the news he just found out.
