Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows

Chapter 12

*My POV*

We pant. "Guys, Krang, is down, but his ship's still building." I said worried as it was in fact, still building, even with Krang being down. We heard Krang laugh softly, and I didn't like that, so I stuck close to Leo. The weapons were still going.

*3rd POV*

Karai, Vern, KC and EC walked towards Karai and the portal device. Karai faced them. "Come on." Karai said before pulling her sword out, and began swinging it at April and EC who dodged it. But Karai kicked them into KC causing the three of them to stumble.

Vern grabbed Karai's arm, but he was kicked, and his arm was twisted causing him to flip and land on the ground with a thud. 

*My POV*

"Donnie!" I said throwing the beacon towards him. He shot his drone out. "Drone activated." Donnie said as the drone caught the beacon and began flying off.

*3rd POV*

Karai kept trying to cut April, EC and KC but they kept dodging. Vern used a chair and shot it at Karai, but she blocked it and kicked Vern. EC grabbed a laptop and went towards Karai as she kicked Vern. Karai turned just in time for EC to hit her in the face with the laptop, Karai stumbled to the ground. 

*My POV*

We watched the drone fly off, hoping we were just in time. "It's gonna be close." Donnie said as we watched the last piece slowly about to take its place. We ran forward slightly where we were standing together. We watched with hope. 

*3rd POV*

Casey skated over to the portal device. He faced, April, EC, KC and Vern who looked at him. "Guys, now! Close the portal now!" Donnie and Izzy's voice came through. "I got this." Casey said as he used the pole to hit the portal device. It caused the portal to stop working.

*My POV*

We watched the drone fly out in time, and the pieces slowly began to follow it. We looked at each other. "Yes!" Donnie said as we all began cheering for what we did. We saved the city once again. We all high fived happily.

We cheered as we rode on a piece to get back to our home. We rode till we got close to the edge. "Okay, this is our stop." Leo shouted before we all jumped off the piece and we land with grunts as we stood up quickly.

We watched the pieces going back. "I'll be back, turtles, human, a thousand times stronger!" We heard Krang say as we watched the pieces. Soon all the pieces were back in the portal, and we cheered before there was a shockwave that caused us to go flying.

But we all got up quickly as we breath heavily. "It's cool. It's cool." Mikey said. "Yeah, I knew that would work." Leo said as we faced each other. "Wait, so you seriously thought us five teenagers could save the whole world?" Mikey asked with a chuckle.

"Sure. Guys, we got something no one else has." Leo said smiling as we all chuckled. We put our hands together. "Turtle Power-!" All of us but Raph said. "Garbage truck!" Raph said, we looked at him confused. 

"Garbage truck?" Leo and I asked confused. Raph began stammering. "Well, we do have one." Mikey said. "The other one." I said as we all spoke at once. We all put our hands together again. "Turtle Power!" We all shouted before cheering. 

| A week later |

*3rd POV*

"Escaped convicts Bebop and Rocksteady are now in police custody, while Dr. Baxter Stockman remains at large. Authorities assure us that the city is once again safe, however questions remain about last week's events. What was that threat from the sky and how exactly was it averted? But the bigger question is, does it even matter? Do we need to give our heroes a name and a face? Or is it enough to know that they're out there watching over us from the shadows?" April said in an interview. 

*My POV*

We were on the island where the statue of liberty was to get our keys to the city. And so the guys could do it in private. "For your incredible valor within this community, and for your uncompromising cooperation with this agency, I present to you the keys to the city, a symbol of our appreciation, respect, and for our continued partnership." Vincent said.

Leo and I noticed Splinter and he smiled at us. "To you brother, and friend, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo...Uh... last name?" Vincent asked them. They never really thought about that. 

"Uh...Not so much." Donnie said. "I never thought of that. That's no fair." Mikey said. Leo, Raph and Donnie smiled. We saw Casey, April, EC and KC in the audience smiling. "And Isabella Chee. Congratulations." Vincent said as everyone began clapping for us.

I knew the guys were loving that, knowing that their work was finally appreciated by humans. "I got one of those. No big deal." Vern said wanting a little attention, but barely anyone paid him any mind. 

"I helped them. They're friends of mine." Vern said. "Oh." The female cop said. EC faced Casey as April walked off to talk to Splinter and KC went to approach us. "So, you got plans next weekend?" EC asked Casey.

"Just my regular hockey game. Do you want to come watch me play?" Casey asked EC. "Watch? I'll take you one on one. And I'll kick your butt." EC said causing Casey to chuckle. "I bet you will." Casey said as they both smiled at each other. "Come here." Casey said pulling EC in by her waist and kissed her, causing her to kiss back.

Leo had his arm around me as we were talking. Raph had his arm around KC's waist. "My key's totally bigger." Mikey said. Vincent came over to us. "I think you should give people more credit. They'll accept you now." Vincent said.

"You're probably right. But, uh... I think we'll stick with the arrangement we've had." Raph said causing KC to smile and lay her head on his chest. Raph chuckled and kissed her head. We all agreed. 

"If you ever need us, April, KC, EC and Izzy knows where to find us." Leo said as he had his arm around me. "Really? You could live a normal life, like the rest of us." Vincent said. "Normal? What fun is that?" Raph asked smiling.

Soon we were all at the top of the statue of liberty, including KC. We all began cheering as we knew that this was a big part of our lives. We were finally accepted by more humans, and we were seen for our appreciation.
