Will was the only one getting in automatically due to his powers. He had to take two written exams, which was a piece of cake for him.

Nico and I on the other hand, had to take the regular entrance exams.

The written portion was easy for me since I didn't have dyslexia like the other two, but Will and Nico were struggling. If we wanted to get in though, we had to suck it up and do our best. I fiddled with my ring while they worked, already finished. Will was the next to do so, followed by Nico. I sighed in relief that they managed to get it. Just in time too, since right after Nico turned in his test, the time was up.

Now the practical portions.

Nico and I were in different zones. Great. "Evelina."

"Nico." We looked at one another and nodded. Unspoken agreements between us were always our sort of thing. This one was one saying we were going to do our best.

And we would.

I was in zone C, and Nico in D. We both changed and headed off to our busses, nothing exchanged between us. Not even eye contact.

When I got there, I was making sure I had my water bottle with unicorn draught, and sighed knowing I did indeed have it clipped and secured to my thigh. Wearing a black tank top and leggings, I hoped my scars weren't too visible. Or if they were, nobody would question them.

"Get going! There are no count offs in a real fight! Go, go go!" Present mic shouted, and I smirked, already running. I twisted my ring and gripped my sword, slashing a three pointer instantly. The air got colder around me, shadows clinging to my form. Slipping into the shadows, I traveled to the next robot, and slashed it too.

I jumped from shadow to shadow, slashing robots left and right, disappearing just as quickly as I appeared.

Just as I was about to slash another robot, I heard it. A scream. I groaned, putting my sword away, and running over to the sound. A girl with pink skin was surrounded, and she was trying to produce a slimy substance from her hands and feet. I groaned again. This would take a lot of energy.

I rumbled the ground, creating a crevice. The robots lost interest in the girl and looked over to what I was doing. I was crouched on the ground in front of a crater. Out crawled three Greek soldier skeletons, (Try saying that three times fast) and with them, steel swords. They charged at the bots, while I traveled to the girl, who was backing up in fear as one robot, a three pointer, closed in on her. The other robots were fighting my skeletons.

She flung something that cut through part of the robot. That same sticky looking substance. It wasn't enough to destroy it though. It raised its other appendage, and got ready to strike.

The girl braced for impact.

And I came in to block it.

She opened her eyes, and stared at me as I took down the robot with practiced ease, and looked over to my skeletons as they finished the others. I dismissed them and they turned to dust, blowing away in the wind. Using the last bit of my energy before I need the unicorn draught, I closed the crevice, and fell to my knees. I panted a bit and grabbed my bottle. Drinking from it, I looked and saw she was fending off another robot for me.

"Thanks a bunch for the help! You should get out of here though!" I nod and walk to a shadow, going to another bot near her and destroy it. "What?! How did you-?"

"Thanks for the tip, but I think I'll pass." I said, before backing into the shadows again. She ran after me, and I traveled away, just for her to be confused looking for me. "Look alive darling. We're still in the exam after all." I said from the shadows. With that, I left her alone. My gut's telling me I'll see her again. I think she'll be fine.
