In class the next day, the students were all talking about the news, while Nico Will and I were talking in Greek about the Email we were sent about the truth to all might and his quirk. "Crazy to believe he's similar to us."
"And to think he's able to pass on his quirk like a blessing. It's amazing!"
"Wonder what quirk type it would be classified as? Power?"
"I think emitter."
"Shut up with all that gibberish!"
"No, fuck off."
"What'd you say?"
"Oh, sorry, I didn't realize you were going deaf!" I shout, earning giggles from people. Bakugou's about to retort when Iida charges into the room.
"Attention! Homeroom class is about to begin! Everyone stop talking and take your seats!" He said... to the seated class. Yeah, the three of us had to really try hard not to laugh, and a few snickers still escaped us.
"Uh, we're all sitting."
"Yeah, you're the only one standing." Iida sat down, huffing in shame.
"Dang it."
"Don't sweat it." Some students were whispering about who we might have as a sub, when to our surprise, Aizawa sensei walked through the door, wrapped in bandages and looking like a mummy.
"Morning class."
"Mr Aizawa, what are you doing here?!" I had to hand it to him, the determination he showed was admirable.
"Woah, what a pro."
"Mr Aizawa! I'm glad you're okay!"
"I wouldn't count that as okay, but he's alive, so I guess that counts for something." I said.
"My wellbeing is irrelevant. What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet." You're telling me. We're demigods, our fight is literally non-stop. "The UA sports festival is about to start." Students cheered, while Will looked excited. Nico and I smiled along with the class. We had seen it in person a couple times while hiding in the shadows, but now we'd be participating.
"The sports festival!"
"Let's go kick some ass!"
"Wait a second."
"Is it really such a good idea to have the sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?"
"They could attack while we're all in the same place." Not if the three of us could help it.
"Apparantly the administration thinks this is a good way to show that the threat has been handled and our school is safer than ever." We felt his eyes look over to the three of us. He was likely filled in with a recording that was deleted after being watched. "Plus, they're beefing up security compared to past years. This event is a huge opportunity for all students at UA. It's not something we can cancel because of a few villains. Our sports festival is one of the most watched events in the entire world. In the past, everyone obsessed over the Olympic games, and then quirks started appearing. Now the Olympics have been reduced in scale and viewership. For anyone who cares about competition, there's only one tournament that matters: the UA sports festival."
"That's right, and top heroes everywhere will be watching. This is where you get scouted." Yaourorozu said with a clenched fist and determined look on her face.
"Yeah! After graduating, you're able to join pro agencies as a sidekick!"
"Yeah but that's as far as some people go. They miss their chance to go indie and stay eternal sidekicks." Jiro looked to Denki. "Actually, that's probably where you're headed. You're kind of dumb." Denki looked highly offended by this.
