----- Trevor woke up sweating inside his small tent. The summer air with having no fan made it mostly impossible to cover up without taking the blankets off 2 minutes later.
He looked over to the empty bed beside him. Its Derek's bed. He probably got up early to hang out with Kristal, Trevor thought.
Having nothing else to do, Trevor went on his phone, which was filled up with notifications. It was odd to him. He never had anyone message, and he turned off most notifications from things like Instagram.
Then, he noticed the date.
June 1st, 2023
"Holy crap, it's Pride Month! And I didn't even notice!" Trevor thought aloud. He jumped from his bed and rummaged through his clothes bag to find the right shirt for the occasion.
He managed to find it after throwing all of his other clothes everywhere around the tent. That's gonna take forever to clean up, Trevor thought, but he just shrugged it off.
He lifted up his pride shirt, which read 'BI PRIDE' in the bisexual colors. It also came with a bisexual cape on the back, which was Trevors favorite part. He decided he'd wear it under his uniform, since Kristal would definitely yell at him for not wearing it, even if Derek wasn't wearing his.
Oh my gosh, Derek! Derek's shirt was still in him and Trevors tent. He had to bring it to him!
Derek's shirt, which Trevor had bought him years ago, had a bisexual heart on it. He found it, and went on his way to the production tent, where he figured Derek would be.
Derek was sitting at the main table as Trevor suspected, doing who knows what on his phone. Trevor came up behind him with the shirt.
"Happy Pride Month Derek!!" Trevor exclaimed, scaring the shit out of Derek. He jumped and turned around to see Trevor beaming while holding his pride shirt.
"Jesus dude! Can you at least warn me before you yell in my ear?!" Derek said angrily.
"Sorry, I wanted it to be a surprise! You know today's June 1st, right?" Trevor asked, giving Derek the shirt. "Put it on!"
Derek looked down at the shirt, then back at Trevor. "I'm not wearing this." He said monotonely.
Trevor was taken aback by his sudden response. "What?! Why?"
"Because Kristal's gonna tease me for it, and she'll probably tease you for it to." Derek explained, tugging at Trevor's pride cape, which was sticking out of the back of his uniform, for emphasis.
"Who cares? She's not gonna fire you for it. Half the contestants are gay anyways." Trevor reasoned. Derek didn't say anything, and just kept his normal expression. "Pleaseeee? We haven't done anything like this in two years! Besides, there's not challenge today so the only people who will see you with it is the staff which is only Oliver, Marcus, Nina, and Kristal."
Derek sighed. "Fine."
Trevor's face lit up like a lightbulb. "YAY!!!" He exclaimed, having a very, very wide smile on his face. Derek couldn't help but smile.
"Be right back." Derek said, standing up and walking to the staff bathroom. He was in there for a lot longer than Trevor expected, but Trevor knew it was worth the wait when Derek came out with both the shirt, and some facepaint with the bisexual colors.
"Awww, you even put on the facepaint!" Trevor beamed.
"I saw it in the cabinet above the sink and I knew you'd like it." Derek said "Hopefully Kristal isn't too mad, since I'm pretty sure it's hers."
"What's mine?" The two hear a voice say. Derek almost jumped out of his skin. They turned around to see the beast Trevor feared most.
Kristal.
She looked confused at first, but then started to Crack up at the sight of Derek.
"What's so funny?" Derek said, unamused.
"You-" Kristal wheezed in the middle of her sentence. "You know that stuff stains your face, right?" She giggled like a schoolgirl. "It's super hard to get off. I've been meaning to get rid of it for a while."
Derek was flabbergasted. He was super embarrassed too.
"Well, it's Pride Month, right?" Trevor said, trying to lighten the mood.
