The inciting incident has passed, yet Ares Aristo is still burning with a rage so hot it'll scorch everything he touches.

the Devil is real, and his beauty is undeniable.

the boy he once was has vanished; the light of the angel he was forced to become has long since flickered out. he has descended further into darkness than anyone could have foreseen, emerging as something wholly unrecognizable but a product all the same.

a beautiful tragedy, both shaped and obscured by pain and pride; agony and arrogance; despair and delight.

this Devil walks freely among us now, dragged up the depths of hell with tattered wings dipped in blood and a halo shattered into two horns. he burns hotter than ever before, carrying with him the inferno from his hell. he has embraced his scars and intends to incinerate everything and everyone around him; to unleash a storm of reckoning.

they say you should be careful what you wish for, and he embodies everything the old God would come to resent and regret. they say you should be wary of the wicked, yet his heavenly beauty has become his devilish disguise.

he is the darkness we all hide from, yet can't escape; the whisper in the night that feeds our deepest fears and most depraved thoughts.

and no longer is he afraid, which makes him more dangerous than ever before.

the Devil is real, and he is beautiful.

we must remember the innocence of the boy he once was, but never forget what he has become and will forever be.

better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.

yet . . .

even the Devil yearns to be saved, for he was once a fallen angel.

those who have felt the same searing flames from the pit can see the boy within. they can see beyond the ruins he has sought solace in and glimpse upon his innocence, his humanity. in that glimpse, they find the strength to offer him redemption. for in the depths of his darkness lies a glimmer of hope, waiting to be found by those who dare to see beyond the flames.

only one other, scarred just as deeply, can truly see beyond the fire; the one just as golden and just as gilded. a different, yet equally beautiful, tragedy carved from the waves of the ocean that can douse the inferno of rage.

only he can see the boy within, for he too is just a boy.
