Reunited and Planning

As John, Nova, and Sarah moved through the Frontier they stumbled upon a river. The same one Nero landed in. They had no idea of that however. John filled up his cantine with the water and drank. Nova looked at the tall Tonitruapes. Her jaw dropped in awe. She found it so intriguing. Despite how strange it truly was. Sarah looked around.
She saw something that scared her. “J-John…l-look.” Sarah said. She pointed to what she saw. John and Nova looked and their eyes widened. They saw the Death Adder. John saw its data when it was added to his tablet after the company discovered it based on the image Nero got of it. The Adder approached, hissing very aggressively. But then a voice said, “Adder quit it!” John looked for the voice and saw Nero.
Nero walked up. “Glad to know I’m not the only one left. I take it the others are…” Nero trailed on. John nodded, “Yeah. Gone.” Nero nodded to make it clear he understood. Nero beckoned them to follow and he began running. They quickly ran after him. The Death Adder also followed. Eventually they found Nero and saw something. A transport shuttle that was in the Jupiter III.
“What’s this?” John asked. “My escape plan. I have managed to find the fuel. The problem is, the engines will take a while to boot up. And while they are, they'll draw the attention of the apex of this area.” Nero answered. Sarah knew what creature he was talking about. The one that caused her injuries. That killed Keegan and Captain Harlow. “That thing…” Sarah said. Nero nodded and took out his tablet. “I snapped a quick picture and sent it to the organization. It has been named Ultima Rex. And from what I know it is intelligent. Very intelligent. If we start the engines it will kill us before we get off the ground.”
Nero stated. “But, if we can kill it, we can leave, it's a different story. I have the parts needed for traps.” Nero said. It was then clear. They would set traps to ultimately slow down the Ultima. And if that didn't work…they always had the Death Adder.
“Let’s do it. Let's get out of this hellhole.” John said. “I agree…” Nova chimed in. Sarah nodded in agreement. “Then it is settled. We will set the traps, and ultimately kill the Ultima Rex. Hopefully.” Nero said. “Let's get to work.” John responded. And with that, the plan was in motion. They started making the traps, tinkering them together.
They were hard at work for damn near a day. The Adder aided with getting them into certain places so they could place the traps. And after they were all set, they were ready. The time had come. And what happened next would be the end for them. Or the Ultima.
