Engineer's Terror Birds

Another life pod landed in a mountain range. In it was the Engineer Hank Wimbleton. He looked into the skies of Alaria and said to himself, "Damn this. I didn't even wanna be on this damned expedition. I just wanted to retire and enjoy my life but no. The company says they have one more assignment for me." Hank never wanted to depart on the expedition aboard the Jupiter III. He had been forced to go on it. The company signed him into the mission behind his back.
He then pulled out a snack contained in the pod and began eating it. After one crunch he spit it out and said "What the shit!? This is stale! The damn GRO can't even be bothered to pack half decent supplies in their life pods." He then saw a shadow fly over him. With concern he looked up and saw the source. He also made a horrifying realization. It was circling him. And not even a few moments later it swooped down and landed on the roof of the pod. And as Hank looked up he was horrified to see what had perched in front of him. It had a beak. A long one too. The top of the beak was serrated to help shred prey in its mouth. It had a crest-like protrusion on the back of its head that was shaped like the blade of an axe. On its feet it had four talons. Three on the front of its feet and one at the back. Perfectly crafted to pick up whatever it was hunting. It had two enormous wings. Both of them 6ft long totaling to a 12ft wingspan. In the middle of its wings were 3 fingers to help it perch. Other than that they were worthless. The bird had 4 eyes which aided its ability to sight prey and allowed it to catch whatever it was hunting with ease.
Hank's tablet then said, "Alert: You have discovered a new lifeform. Its species has been given the name Timordactyl. Thank you for this discovery." Hank then remarked, "Timordactyl huh? Shit..." And before another thought could cross his mind, there was a shadow behind him. A second Timordactyl had landed behind him. Turning to face the flying beast he was horrified by the sheer size of it. The other Timordactyl was decently far away from him so it didn't look any bigger than him. But up close he realized these skyfairing hunters were roughly 4ft taller than he was making them around 10ft tall.
He turned to run but after he turned before he could run away he was impaled by the Timordactyl's beak. It lifted him into the air before tossing him off and down into a crevice below that was too small. Hank was lucky that the Timordactyls weren't all that intelligent. Hank thought to himself, "I got lucky. If this crevice wasn't here I would be screwed." But, he would make another, less fortunate, discovery. He couldn't move his legs. The Timordactyl paralyzed him from the waist down.
He started to crawl away. He couldn't see the Timordactyls anywhere. He crawled out of the crevice to find a place of safety. He crawled faster and faster and faster. Thinking he was safe until he heard it. Until he felt it. The squelching sound of something piercing flesh and muscle and the pain of being stabbed. When he looked up he saw a Timordactyl. It had found him despite his apparent safety. And less than five seconds later, the Timordactyl spread its wings and took to the skies. Hank took a Phase-Wrench off his tool belt and smacked the creature's face screaming, "GET OFF ME YOU AVIAN BI-" He stopped when he saw the other Timordactyl that was hunting him. And his wrench didn't even phase the one carrying him.
Before long the two Timordactyls started fighting over who would eat him. The Timordactyl carrying him dropped him momentarily after the other scratched it. Then, the second Timordactyl had him. It grabbed his legs and he was about to pull out another tool in some foolish, pointless attempt to free himself. However, he was grasped at the shoulders by the Timordactyl that originally grasped him and before he could free himself he heard the worst possible sound. The sound of ripping flesh and muscle. He looked down and saw that in the clutches of the other Timordactyl was his bottom half. And as he realized this his vision faded to black as he accepted his fate at the talons of these Skyward Terrors.
