In the depths of the cold and dark vacuum of space, there is a ship descending onto an alien world on an expedition for the Galactic Research Organization. The ship is known as the Jupiter III. On it is a crew composed of 11 different people. Captain Harlow White, Xeno-Biologist Sarah Harrmen, Head Security Officer Keegan, Security Officer Harod, Preacher Velio Moree, Dr. William Hofnarr, Engineer Hank Wimbleton, Electrician Hiro Klein, Vice-Captain Nero Vellum, The CEO's Daughter Nova Ceres, and our main character Janitorial Worker John Davison. As John wakes up he changes into his uniform and heads to the cafeteria of the ship. There he meets with Sarah who asks, "You look terrible, did you even sleep?" John replies, "Yes I slept. Not well but I slept." "Well, what did you dream about that caused such poor sleep?" Sarah asked. But before John could respond the alarms of the ship start up and the ship's AI, Iris, comes on and says "Warning: Critical Failure. Please make your way to the escape pods." Having heard this John told Sarah, "Get to your pod, I'll grab the CEO's daughter". As he ran through the halls he saw a port he created as a failsafe to download Iris into his tablet. After he downloaded Iris he arrived at the CEO's daughter's room he saw her scrambling to get to a pod. Without words he grabbed her arm and ran to a pod. He deployed the pod they arrived in and they were disembarked. The CEO's daughter said, "W-what's happening!?" "The ship's going down. Were you not paying attention to Iris-". He was cut off by a crackling sound as the pod entered the planet's atmosphere. Then on John's tablet Iris said "Entering the atmosphere of the destination for your expedition to begin. Welcome to Planet 1-O9A57 also known as Alaria. Enjoy your expedition". John then looked through the pod's window and saw Jupiter III crashing down to the planet's surface in a blaze. Then the pod deployed its parachute and landed on the planet's surface. Upon exiting the pod John and the CEO's daughter looked around and observed the surroundings and decided to make a camp. Before they started construction with the basic materials provided in the pod John asked, "What's your name by the way? I figure I should know it if we are gonna be here for a while." She replied, "Nova. The- The name's Nova".
Author's Note: Hank Wimbleton's name is quite obviously inspired by Hank J. Wimbleton from the series Madness Combat. Idk why it just felt funny at the time. (P.S. it isn't that funny I am just dumb)
