"How's the cafe?" Mina asked in the middle of breakfast.
Ngayon na lang kami ulit nagkasabay sabay kumain ng agahan dahil sa busy schedules namin. Mabuti na rin 'yon dahil at least, hindi rin nila napapansin 'yung tungkol sa'min ni Theno.
I took a sip from my morning coffee while checking my calendar on my Ipad. "It's fine. Getting a lot of bookings right now."
"How's the pediatrician? We don't see him that much na ha." Leila said, referring to Theno.
"I don't know." I lied through my teeth.
I just straight up lied to my friends. Aaahhh!
It's just...I'm not an open book when it comes to these things. Sasabihin ko rin naman sa kanila eh, just not now.
"Hmm, wala rin naman akong nababalitaan kay Rence." Gab added to the conversation.
Well, what can I say? Pareho kaming tahimik ni Theno kaya wala silang mapiga sa'min.
"Speaking of Rence. Guys, he's inviting me to their family resort sa weekend. Should I go?"
"Go!" "Definitely!" "Huwag palampasin!" The three of us simultaneously answered.
"Just be careful, baka pag-uwi mo eh ninang na kami." Biro ni Mina kaya nahampas siya ni Gab.
"Kilabutan ka nga! We're career-minded people. Hindi pa pwede, saka alam naman ni Rence 'yon." Gab defended herself.
"Guys, gotta go! Parating na 'yung client sa resto. Wish me luck!" Leila was in a hurry kaya nagbeso lang siya sa'min at nagmadali nang tumakbo palabas.
"Good luck!" Sigaw namin kahit hindi na niya kami naririnig.
"Anyway, back to what I'm saying, sasama ako sa kaniya sa weekend ha. So kayong tatlo muna dito."
Mina cut her off. "Nope. The parentals are telling me to come home this weekend. Actually, a few weekends ago pa eh kaso na-busy rin ako kaya ngayon lang. That leaves Leila and Viana."
"We'll be fine, guys. Enjoy kayo." I told them.

Theno warned me beforehand na he'll be busy at the hospital so he can't meet me today. Mukhang lahat kami ay busy.
Look at me, telling myself before that I won't fall for Theno because he's a busy man with a big and promising career in front of him, and now, I'm letting him court me. The universe really did that to me, huh?
I was busy with inventory when the door to my office pushed open with my secretary behind it.
I lifted my head up. "Yes?"
"Ma'am, may delivery po kayo." She walked towards my table then placed down a pink, glossy paper bag in front of me.
I thanked her before she left then I set my work aside so I can take a look at what's inside the bag.
Oh my! It's a bouquet of pink roses on a white box with a pink ribbon securing the bottom! Aaahhh! It's so beautiful!!!
May nakaipit na folded black card sa ribbon so I took it and unfolded to see what's inside.
