He said he was gonna make up for his busy days at the hospital so now, we're having late lunch while waiting for our 2:30 PM schedule at the cinema. Nag-aya manood.

"How've you been?" He asked after the waitress left.

"I'm okay. Busy sa work kasi maraming catering bookings na dumating. But aside from work, nothing much is going on with me. Ikaw?"

"Puro consults na lang rin. It's perfect because I'm planning on spending more time with you." He said as he placed his hand on top of mine.

Ever since his niece's party, he became much sweeter to me. Every once in a while, he would say something cheesy and cute.

We were giggling when we left the theater. It was an animated movie that we both enjoyed.

I never thought this actually happens in real life. You know, having movie dates, eating lunch and dinner together, strolling around the mall while holding hands. I only see this in movies and I didn't anticipate that it would also happen to me.

I can see his effort of giving me time and attention despite both of our busy schedules. I must say, I'm lucky to experience this from the first ever man who I allowed to court me and be romantic with me.

We've known each other for what...like, months now? Ever since that crazy incident in the bar, my life has completely turned upside down. I mean, who knew that today, I would be with this guy? For all I know, today might just be a normal day at the cafe if the things that happened before did not happen.

"A penny for your thoughts, Miss?"

I snapped back to reality when I heard him. "Hmm? Wala, I'm just contemplating." I told him.

"Contemplating why you came here with me?" He kidded, making me laugh.

"No! I mean, contemplating about everything that's happened."

"Uh-oh, you might already be regretting getting to know me."

Puro biro!

"Hindi ah! I was just about to tell you that I think you're one of the best things that happened to me lately." I admitted as I rested my head against his shoulder. I don't care if we look like a clingy, cringe couple who are walking around the mall like this.

"What? Are you serious? Gabi na!"

If you're wondering why I'm reacting this way, it's because this man who's in charge of driving is telling me that he wants to learn how to bake, and yup, he wants to go to my cafe.

"Yeah, I'm serious. Tara."

I slowly shook my head while chuckling. "Ikaw talaga! Okay, fine. Let's go."

He took a u-turn so we could go back around the block where my cafe is.

After successfully getting in the cafe, nagsanitize muna kaming dalawa bago pumunta sa kitchen.

The ambiance is calming and soothing because it's night time and we're the only ones here.

"You're a pro!" He said after I tied my apron by myself.

"Been doing this for years na, ano! Kung hindi pa ako natuto, eh hindi ko na alam." Biro ko kaya natawa siya.

"Okay, so what do you want to bake? I have a list here..." I gave him a copy of our pastry menu then I proceeded on to getting the basic equipments that we'll be needing.
