"Alright, let's move on to the next chapter..." The professor took a sip from his drink, awaiting the chorus of pens to conclude their note taking. He scanned his eyes over the next few slides with an uninterested look. "P-Professor?" A nervous student called out from the back of the class. "I-I have a question." It was a surprise, he never usually got asked questions, his students simply allowed him to speak for an hour without even a single notion of discussion. Even a small disturbance was appreciated to break away from the monotony.

All he hoped was that it wasn't going to be a stupid question, how he abhorred those. "Go ahead, what's on your mind?" He asked, taking a seat atop the end of his cramped desk, folding his arms. There was a tenuous silence.

"I-I was just wondering, and my question isn't really related to the course, but I just couldn't get it out of my head..." The student mumbled. The professor nodded. "Humour me, kid. I've done enough talking." He got a few quiet laughs and that seemed to convince the nervous student.

"W-With the advent of Quirks, there are meta-abilities of all sorts showing up. T-There are those theories that say, with every passing generation, Quirks will become even stronger, perhaps even too strong for people to control..." The student got a few scrutinising looks from their peers, but they couldn't be dissuaded now, already far too deep into their question. "H-Hypothetically, if an Emitter-type Quirk could control potentially anything, what would stop a person from being able to control one of, if not all of the forces you mentioned?"

The student got a few strange looks. Why would they ask such a strange question now of all places? They whispered amongst themselves. However, the professor took their request seriously. A solemn look fell over his face, and he scratched his chin. His glasses caught the lecture hall's lighting, concealing his eyes beneath a silver sheen. "If someone could manipulate these fundamental forces at will?" He asked rhetorically, thinking about the subject himself. It certainly wasn't related to their study, but a harmless thought experiment never hurt anybody, and if it engaged his students in the topic more then who cared?

He made sure to choose his words carefully.

"If someone could manipulate the fundamental forces, they would possess the power to reshape reality itself. They could create or destroy matter, control the energy within stars, and bend the fabric of space-time. It would be an unparalleled power, capable of ending entire civilisations, altering the universe's fundamental structure, and even unravelling the very laws of physics itself." The professor's words changed the tone of the conversation. An atmosphere of dread set in. Perhaps he had been somewhat overly dramatic, but his countless years of study told him his words spoke only the truth.

"Such power..." He mumbled, shaking his head, realising the true extent to which a person with that sort of power would wield.

"Such power would indeed herald the end of everything that we know."

[00:13 AM, Local Police Precinct, Hosu City, Tokyo]

The entire dynamic of the fight was suddenly turned on its head. In the next moment, with a subtle hand gesture, the Villain flicked his wrist down, and Ingenium was ripped out of the air and thrown into the floor, indented within the building's structure. His armour exploded with a violent electrical burst, and sharp volatile arcs dancing from one end of his body to the other, like hungry eels reeling at their prey. Ingenium groaned in agony, barely holding back a scream as he was being electrocuted alive. It was a tremendous amount of electricity, and at the same time, his body was being dug deeper and deeper into the ground.
