'Sophie said yes' Lando read the message from the Quadrant group chat and smiled.
"Focus" Will, his strategist, said while slapping the back of his neck.
"Ouch mate, can't drive if you hurt me." He joked and put the phone in his pocket to pay attention to what the engineers and strategists were saying.
They were in Bahrain, doing the track walk and preparing for the first race of the season this weekend. Once they were done, they headed to the McLaren hospitality. Lando was walking behind the team not really paying attention to much until he heard a specific very known way to call his name.
"LANDOOO!" He turned around smiling.
"CALOOOS!" He said in the same tone and hugged his friend. "The man I was looking for." They started walking together.
"You needed me?"
"Yes, I need your Spanish for translation of something."
Lando took his phone out of his pocket, unlocked it and looked for the clip. Her clip. It's not hard to find, just one of the two clips that he has been watching, more than he would like to admit, since the last Quadrant meeting. He opens the clip and shows it to Carlos, his friend watches and laughs at the girl cursing and crashing on the phone, and Lando does the same, but more than looking at the content, he is looking at her. He had been looking through her socials for the last 2 days, he's glad that Ria invited her to play for the tournament and that she said yes. There's something about her that got his attention, he doesn't know what it is, but he wants to get to know her, talk, play games, or anything to get to meet her, she seems cool. At first he just thought she was pretty, and after watching some of her YouTube videos and Toktoks, he realized she's actually funny and seems like a nice girl, they could be good friends, maybe.
