She froze, physically and mentally. Did Max just say that Lando was there listening to all the cursing and stupid things she was saying?

She looks to her left where she has the screen to read her chat and it is full of 'did the stream freeze or is she just standing there? Haha' 'OMG IT'S LANDO NORRIS AND SHE'S A PAPAYA GIRL, SHE'S FREAKING OUT' 'she said 🧍‍♀️' 'Soph come back to reality! They are talking'.

"Sophieee." She heard Ria call her name.

"Oh, sorry, I zoned out, what happened?"

"Lando said hi."

"Oh, hola." She facepalm while hearing him laugh a little 'he laughed at me or I made him laugh?' she thinks. "I mean hi... Lando"

'Why am I so weird?! Why do I sound weird? Why did I speak Spanish?' were the questions that were running through her mind. She never thought she would actually talk to Lando Norris but it was actually happening.

"Oh you haven't met Lando before right?" Max asked.

"Hmm no."

"Well he knows who you are, ouch mate!" He said after what sounded like someone punched him.

"Wait what?" 'Does Lando Norris know who I am?' she thought.

"We show him those clips of you! Everyone at Quadrant saw them."

"I can confirm, I show them on my phone but because Max told me to." Ria add

"Max, you are like a mom showing everyone embarrassing pictures of them, but it's clips of me." They all laugh.

"The clips were really funny, I enjoyed them a lot." Lando said.

"Well, thank you so much."

"De nada." (you are welcome) he tried to say, or that's what she thinks, his spanish isn't great.

"Are the Duolingo lessons fun, mate?" Max joked. "We were having dinner with chat and talking about the tournament and they told us you two were playing so I just wanted to see how you were doing. Do you think you can win?"

"Absolutely!" Ria said. "Right Soph?"

Sophie was trying to act cool and pretend like she wasn't talking to her delulu crush. She just gotta be herself, right? It's not like they are going to be friends. It's not like she actually had a crush on him, they are probably not going to talk again after the tournament, 'just be you, Soph!' She encouraged herself.

"With a little more practice and a lot more delusion, we are going to win surely!" She added.

"To be honest, Soph could actually win if I wasn't her teammate."

"Help, she kidnapped me as her teammate." She joked in a whisper and they laughed. "But actually I enjoy having you as a teammate, Ria, you are fun to play with and if you haven't noticed, you are getting better at the game."

"Are you coaching her, Soph?" Max questioned.

"I just gave her some tips, we practice a good amount too, so we are getting better as a team."

"Could we join practice?"

"Of course, anytime you want, it's good to get to know the enemy. I'll teach Ria how to kick your ass and win."

"You want to join now?" Ria asked.

"Well, I finished dinner and don't have anything to do other than stream so why not?" Max said.

"Yeah, let's play." Sophie responded, but is he going to play alone? Or is Lando playing too?

"You want to play mate?" She heard Max ask his friend.
