Chapter forty-six: Calls 📱

"I am stupid. I am stupid." Sophie said after crashing at that Baku turn just like Charles did.

"Well, chat, I'm going now, it's been a long and fun stream. Thank you so much for watching and for the subs and also thank you so much for buying all the merch. We are sold out, I don't really know if we are going to restock but, I'll let you know. Have a good rest of your day. Remember to be kind, always." She blows a kiss and turns off the camera.

Lando took his headphones out and put his phone in his pocket. He was really happy for Sophie, her merch drop was a success.

A big smile appeared on his face when the memory from a few days ago came into his mind. In Miami, at the airport, he and Sophie were waiting to get on the plane to go back to the UK. She was really nervous about the merch drop, doubts about what if goes wrong or no one's buying it, were making her overthink the situation. Lando comforted her saying everything was going to be okay and she didn't have to worry, because, if it was needed, he would buy all her merch until it sold out, at which she forbidden him to do so. 'You can not buy any merch from me, Norris. I'm more than happy to give it to you, but don't you dare to buy it,' she warned him. He started to miss her presence around.

After going back to the UK from Miami, he quickly had to go back to Monaco to receive a unexpected visitor.

"You are going to finally pay attention to me now?" Flo, his little sister, said.

"I was."

"You liar."

A few days ago, his sister told him she was going to be around Monaco for a few days, and asked if she could stay at his place and to show her around.

"So who is she?"

"My friend."

"Your friend?" She sits closer to him.

"We are getting to know each other, okay?"

"And how is that going?"

"I like her."

"And how does she feel?"

"Shouldn't you ask her that?"

His phone started ringing on his hand 'Muppet Soph' was written on the screen, it was a video call, he smiles and looks up at his sister who has a smirk on her face. Before he could react, she quickly grabbed his phone and ran to his room. He got up and ran after but she had already closed and locked the door behind her.

"Flo! Don't!"

"What?"

"Don't pick up."

"Why? You said I should ask her."

"Not literally Flo, please just don't-" He stopped talking when his phone stopped ringing.

"Hey, Bob. Oh..." He heard Sophie on the phone.

"Hello." His sister said.

"Hey, sorry. I think I called the wrong number."

"This is Lando's phone, do you like him?"

He ran to the living room to find his keys that had a spare copy of his room key. He found them and ran back to open the door of his room. When he did, he found Flo laying down on his bed laughing while talking to his phone, he could hear Sophie's laugh on the other side. He quickly took his phone from his sister's hands and kicked her out of his room.

"Okay, okay, I'm leaving. I'm going to call my boyfriend. Don't interrupt me."

He watches her lay down on the couch and use her phone. After closing his door, he looked at his phone screen, Sophie's smile made his heart beat faster.
