"The school year's almost over, which means pretty soon is spring break!" As the two girls are walking to school, Chise does a spin and nearly falls. "I'm so excited, Homura!"

"So am I! Imagine all the fun things we'll get to do durin' the break!" says Homura. "First, though, final exams..."

"Oh, right... Exams..." Chise panics a little. "I didn't study for those at all! Oh no, will I have to repeat the year?!"

"No way, Chise, I'll help ya study!"

The magenta-haired first-year takes a deep breath. "Thank you, Homura...! That means a lot to me!"

Just as they enter the school, the green-haired girl from before jumps in front of them, pointing at Homura. "I challenge you!"

"Wha—?! Right now?!"

"That's right! I wanna get even stronger than I am now! I, Oozora Kazemi, challenge you to a one-on-one game of basketball!"

"The heck?!" Our confused fire-girl shakes her head. "You gotta be kiddin'. I barely know you and besides, first class is startin' soon. Maybe after school? The Light Music Club doesn't meet this week."

"Hmph. Whatever works for you." Kazemi goes to her locker, while Chise and Homura do the same.

"She seems pretty rude, Homura," says Chise. "But I know you can do it!"

"I mean, I'm not super sporty or anythin'... A couple of years ago, I almost caused our home basketball team to lose, 'cause I kinda sucked at basketball..." Homura grabs her backpack. "I dunno how our team was able to win."

"Well, no matter what, I believe in you. Azuchi would say the same thing if she was here."

"She goes to a different school, I think," says Homura, following Chise to her classroom.

"That's true." Once they're at Class 1-2, Chise heads to her class.

Meanwhile, in class 2-1...

"Alright, so as you know, the school year is almost over," announces the teacher. "For this, we're gonna organize an event. Here's how: first, we share our suggestions on what we should do. We'll be doing something kinda like a mock election, where each of us votes for what we should do as our end-of-the-year event."

"Mock election?" thinks Kazemi. "I'm totally in! I'm gonna get the most votes! But what to put as a suggestion..."

"The other classes will do this as well. The one with ten votes will be in a second election that features all classes. Korihana-san, our student council president, will be helping us organize it."

A young lady with long blue hair nods.

"Good, let's start. What are your suggestions?" The teacher looks around.

Students begin throwing out suggestions. "Field trip!" "School dance!" "Spirit day!"

Each suggestion is written on half-sheets of paper and taped to the front of small boxes. Then the class starts voting, with six in the first box, three in the second, and four in the third.

"I wanna go ghost hunting..." thinks Kazemi, "I gotta win this thing!"
