As the Heeler family pulls out in their caravan to continue down the road, Bluey notices Bingo gazing wistfully out the window.
"What's got your attention, sis?" Bluey asks.
Bingo sighs. "I was just wishing I could capture all the beautiful sights we pass. It would be fun to look back on where we've been."
Chilli overhears and perks up. "That's a splendid idea, Bingo! As gypsies, we should document our travels." She rummages in a trunk and pulls out an old camera.
"Ta da! Now you girls can be our official family photographers." Chilli hands them the camera with a grin. "Go on, see what pictures you can take from here."
Bluey and Bingo eagerly snap photos of rolling hills, colorful wildflowers, quaint villages they roll through. A song breaks out about preserving memories on film.
That evening, the family gathers round the projector van to see their first "film". Laughter and "oohs" fill the caravan at the kids' shaky shots. But their enthusiasm shows the fun of discovering new places through a lens. From now on, wherever the road may lead, their camera will capture every picture-perfect moment along the Gypsy way.
The curtain rises on a sunny field, where Bandit tunes his guitar under a willow tree as Chilli chases Bluey and Bingo.
Chilli (sings):
Oh, the open road is calling us today,
To wander free as we please.
We'll travel near and travel far,
Our gypsy caravan is home wherever we are.Bandit joins in singing and playing. Chilli scoops up the giggling pups. Behind them, their brightly painted caravan comes into view hitched to two horses.
Bandit:
This caravan we call our wagon,
Will take us wherever the wind may blow.
Our daughters are our greatest treasures,
Music and love will go where e'er we go.Bingo pats the horses' noses as Bluey hands them treats. Chilli packs their belongings into the caravan with Bluey's help. Bandit finishes preparing for their journey.
The family gathers for a group photo in front of the wagon. Bandit sets up the camera on a timer. As the shutter clicks, they all wave happily.
Bluey:
What new friends will we meet along the way?
Will there be castles or farms to explore each day?Bandit takes the reins as Chilli lifts Bingo and Bluey into the caravan. It lurches forward with a jingle of bells. Bluey and Bingo wave out the window.
Chilli and Bandit (take each other's hands and sing to the sky):
Oh, the open road is calling us today,
This gypsy life is all our hearts desire.
We'll wander freely where the winds may blow,
Our little family, traveling together! The curtain falls as the caravan rolls out of view, taking the Heeler family off on adventures unseen yet awaiting down the open road. Music plays them cheerfully on their way.
