The family had been exhausted after their long journey, so falling into the plush beds of the Parisian hotel felt like heaven. But in the middle of the night, Chilli's coughing stirred Bluey from her sleep.
"Mum, are you alright?" Bluey asked with concern. When Chilli didn't respond, Bluey felt her forehead and gasped. "Bingo, wake up! Mum has a fever!"
Bingo's eyes flew open in panic. "What do we do??"
Chilli struggled to focus, her condition quickly worsening. That's when a soft melody began, seeming to come from all around:
A mother lies ill, her children in need,
Lost and afraid, what is their fate?
Two little ones reach deep for courage and care,
To save the one who gave them everything.Bluey and Bingo exchanged a determined look. They had to be strong, just as Mum and Dad taught them. Finding towels and water, they did their best to nurse Chilli.
The song lifted their spirits through the long night, giving hope. By morning, Chilli's fever had finally broken. As her eyes fluttered open to see Bluey and Bingo's tired faces, she knew her brave girls would survive whatever came, as long as they had each other.
