The next morning, Chilli awoke with a new sense of determination. While her heart still ached for Bandit, she knew she needed to be strong for Bluey and Bingo.
As the pups slowly emerged from sleep, red-eyed and somber, Chilli took them in her arms once more. "My darlings, it's time for us to continue our travels. I think a change of scenery might do us good."
The family packed up what remained of their belongings. Chilli placed a paw on the caravan wall, feeling Bandit's spirit within the very boards that had been their home. Then she turned towards the open road, beckoning the pups to join her side.
"Where to now, Mum?" asked Bluey quietly. Chilli smiled, feeling Bandit's encouragement. "Your father always wanted to visit Paris. I think making his dream a reality could help keep his memory alive. Who's with me?"
Bluey and Bingo found the strength to nod. Their adventure to the famed city was just what they needed to take their next steps forward without leaving Bandit behind. And so, with faith, hope and love to guide them, the family journeyed onward.
