Lacey smiles at Travis as her and Rip walk over. Teeter was sitting on the gate talking to him before they made their way over.

"Lacey May, I hear a congratulations are in order." Travis says giving her a head nod.

"How'd you know?" Lacey asks smiling at her friend.

"Lacey I am a horse trainer, when a women comes off the market I get a fucking email about it." Travis says making both Rip and Lacey laugh. Rip wraps an arm around Lacey's waist pulling her closer to him as she talks some wedding details to Travis.

"I better be getting an invitation." Travis states.

"Of course." Rip says nodding his head.

"Is that my dad on a horse?" Lacey asks concerned seeing her dad ride up with Kayce. Rip grumbles under his breath and the two make their way to meet Kayce and John.

"The doctor said no riding." Lacey scolds.

"I already said that, he ain't listening." Kayce says making Lacey roll her eyes annoyed. Kayce and John get off their horse and John asks Lacey for her advice on if he should have Travis should ride for the Yellowstone.

"I trust him daddy, but we can't afford him." Lacey says frowning at the thought of how much money it all would be.

"Yeah well we can't afford not to sweetheart." John says before walking over to Travis to talk.

"He's gone crazy, Kayce you have to stop him." Lacey whispers to her brother. She honestly thought being in a coma for two months made her dad more dumb than before he went in.

"You think he's going to listen to me?"
Kayce whispers back.

The two Dutton siblings argue back and forth while Rip watches with an amused smile on his face. He found it funny how the two always argued about the little things but would murder someone in a heart beat if they did their sibling wrong.

"Stop being stupid!" Lacey yells louder gaining attention of other people. Rip sighs knowing this was the end of the fight and he grabbed Lacey throwing her over his shoulder.

"Rip!" She yells frustrated.

"You're getting put in time out." Rip says slapping her ass making Lacey curse under her breath. Rip walks to the main house with Lacey still on his shoulder but he stops when he sees Beth with a teenaged boy on the porch.

"What the fuck?" Rip asks.

"What?" Lacey asks trying to look but she couldn't due to Rips body blocking the view. Rip sets Lacey down and she turns frowning at the scene in front of her.

"Well that's new?" Lacey asks confused. The couple make their way over and Beth gives them a smile.

"Lacey, Rip meet Carter. He's gonna be staying here a while." Beth says.

"You know what I lied, Beth is now the crazy one." Lacey says putting her hands up and walking to the foreman's cabin for space.

"Is this a bad time to mention we might need your room?" Beth asks.

Rip doesn't respond, instead he turns to go back to the horses to see which ones John ended up buying or if Kayce actually did what Lacey asked and stopped it from happening.

"They seem nice." Carter says.

That night Lacey was packing up her stuff to take to the foreman's cabin mumbling angrily under her breath.

"Stupid Beth, stupid Carter, making me move for a kid." Lacey grumbles as she throws more clothes into her suitcase.

Rip watched leaning against the door frame with an amused look on his face, he wanted to tell her that he set Carter up in the barn where he used to sleep, but he found it adorable how her nose scrunched up in anger.
