"We went to a cafe yesterday. They served the best doughnuts but sadly only I was the one eating the doughnuts!" Whimpered Soonyoung to his friends.

"Huh? You don't eat doughnuts?" Eunjung asked Wonkyung with an eyebrow raised.

"Yeah."

"He doesn't eat doughnuts too.." Eunjung intended to whisper it only to herself, but what she didn't knew is that Wonkyung who's beside her heard it too.

'She meant Wonwoo, my dad.'

"Anyway, was it just the two of you yesterday?" She asked.

"Yes, you should've joined us! I didn't know Wonkyung and I could actually have a lot of topics to talk about, we never ran out of things to say, right Wonkyung?" Soonyoung nudged her, playfully giving her a smirk.

"Yeah, I actually enjoyed it. Thanks, Soonyoung. You're a very fun guy to talk with." Wonkyung nodded her head with a smile.

Soonyoung went closer to Eunjung to talk more with her. Wonkyung just let them be, she kind of feel bad that Soonyoung won't end up marrying Eunjung. Seeing the way how Soonyoung is staring at Eunjung, Wonkyung knew that he loves her very much.

'I wonder what happened to Soonyoung in 2024? Does she knew that my mom passed away when I was 11?' She thought as she stared at him.

"It's my mom's birthday today, why don't you come over? We'll be having a small celebration." Offered Eunjung.

'Grandmother, she passed away even before I was born.'

"Are you really inviting me? I'd be really happy to come!" She exclaimed in excitement.

When school ends, both Eunjung and Wonkyung parted their ways. Wonkyung agreed that she'll come to her house before 7pm. When she reached the guesthouse, Wonkyung headed straight to her room and got herself ready. She wanted to go buy a gift for her grandmother.

"What should I buy for my grandmother? What does women around that age likes? Surely not bags and clothes." She asked herself while scowling.

"I'll just keep looking around. I might somehow find what I wanna buy for my grandmother." Wonkyung kept on walking around the stores, trying to find what better and nice gift she could give her grandmother.

When she arrived at Eunjung's house, she felt nervous yet excited to meet her grandmother.

"Hi, Wonkyung! Come in." Greeted Eunjung.

"You must be Eunjung's friend." When an middle aged woman, which she believes is her grandmother spoke to her, Wonkyung's eyes widened seeing her grandmother for the very first time ever, face to face.

"You look so.." Her grandmother put her hand on Wonkyung's cheeks, making Wonkyung nervous.

"Beautiful.. Why does your face feels like it's reminding me of someone?" She cooed, Wonkyung could barely heard her grandmother.

"H-hello!" She bowed.

"This is for you, happy birthday imo." She handed her the box.

"Aigoo.. You really shouldn't have buy me anything. Thank you so much." She pinched her cheek before she proceeds to pat her shoulder.

The celebration was simple, just Eunjung and her parents and their future daughter/grandaughter. Wonkyung took the chance to talk more with her grandparents, who knows this will be the first and last time that she'll ever have a meal with them?

"The mug is cute!" Exclaimed her grandmother, Wonkyung smiled knowing that her grandmother actually liked her gift, it made her happy.

Though it's just four of them, but it was really fun. Wonkyung feels complete, just without her dad. But with the thought of she's still able to see her dad and talk to him is enough for her. If she's given a chance, she wanted to try and be closer with her dad before she leave 1984.
