Chapter 21

"The bus to Seoul is about to leave, hurry Wonkyung!" Shouted Soonyoung. It was when Eunjung told them that Wonwoo's under critical condition right now. Both Jihoon and Soonyoung is trying to help Wonkyung to reach the hospital as soon as they possibly could.

Wonkyung brought all of her belongings along, planning to stay with Wonwoo.

'Wonwoo please.. Wait for me..'

But it was at this moment that her smartwatch starts vibrating. Her eyes widened as she gasped, it feels like her heart stopped beating. She immediately checked the smartwatch and the countdown started, she have exactly five minutes to press the button to return back to 2024 or else she'll be stuck here forever.

"No! No! NO!!!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING NOW!!!" She started screaming and crying as she fell on her knees.

"How am I gonna go there in five minutes?! It's literally a three hours of ride!!" She cried even more louder in despair.

"Wonkyung, what are you doing?! We don't have much time left! You need to see him now!" Jihoon tried to drag her to get into the bus.

"It's too late.." She whispered.

"What do you mean by it's too late? Faster get on the bus before it leaves!" Soonyoung bellowed.

"You guys should go without me." And by that, she pushed both the guys inside the bus. They were too late, the door closed and they're unable to get her inside the bus.

"WONKYUNG WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Wonkyung burst out crying as loud as she could, falling down on her knees.

"There's nothing expensive that I want. I just want to be able to see you until the day I close my eyes forever."

"I'm so sorry, Wonwoo.. I'm so sorry that I'm unable to give you want you want.. I'm so sorry that you're unable to see me before you close your eyes forever.. I'm so sorry that I have to leave now.. I'm so sorry that I'm not by your side.. I.. I'm very and truly sorry.." Tears would never stop flowing down her cheeks. How her heart is shattering into millions of pieces, how she wish she could just die with him.

Wonkyung rushed to the alleyways.

She have 43 seconds now.

She stood up and took a deep breath.

And she pressed the button.

"Where's Wonkyung?!" Eunjung asked as loud as she could the moment both Jihoon and Soonyoung reached the hospital.

"Wonwoo!" Soonyoung ignored her and went straight to stand beside his ward bed. Wonwoo have his eyes closed. Seeing him laying like that, both Jihoon and Soonyoung couldn't help but to cry.

"I'm asking you where is Wonkyung?!" Eunjung who's enraged for being left unanswered came again to ask the two.

"I'll explain." Jihoon brought her out of the room.

"Hyung, I'm so sorry. I didn't know why she told us to go without her. She even pushed us to get into the bus. I thought that she loves you, hyung. She should've seen you at least once. I'm sorry that we couldn't bring her here.." Soonyoung explained while sobbing, his eyes and cheeks are turning red.

"Why did she leave? She should be here to see him before he go!" Eunjung rebuked.

"I don't know!" Jihoon shouted back.

"It's okay, whoever is here we should be by his side now. Let's go." Wonhyuk helped them get into the room again.

Seeing how everyone is crying, Wonhyuk who've always been trying to look strong couldn't help himself but to cry as well. Even if Wonwoo is his younger stepbrother and even if they barely see each other, he still love him as his brother.
