CHARACTERS (in order of appearance):
Makisig "Maki" Kagiwa – a 16-year-old (15 when the story started) 11th-grade student. He was described as having big brown eyes and black, wavy hair, which was shaved off after being admitted to the hospital. Initially, he was a very introverted, indifferent young kid who preferred to keep to himself, disregarding those around him. He was content living a comfortable life of solitude with his brother until an excruciating experience completely turned his life around, prompting him to become much more open and warmer toward others. Now, he is on a personal mission to find and reunite with his brother, who was taken away by three mysterious entities.
His name is an ancient Filipino term that directly translates to 'appealing', 'attractive', or 'charismatic.'
Maginoo "Jin" Kagiwa – the older brother of Maki. He is around 18 years old and shares the same round brown eyes as his sibling, along with an appealing appearance. Renowned for his talent from a young age, he secured admission to Maharlika Academy, the top high school in the country. Excelling in nearly all sports, particularly Kali and chess, he is both accomplished and admired. His friendly and approachable personality has made him very popular among his peers. However, one dreadful night, he was abducted by three mysterious entities and has not been seen since.
His name is also an ancient Filipino term that means 'gentleman' and, to some extent, refers to royalty or the ruling class, the highest social class in ancient Philippines.
Rajah – one of the three mysterious entities that Maki encountered on the night his brother disappeared. He seemed to be the leader of the trio and worked for a strange organization called "The Anarchy." He has a commanding personality and displays a stern demeanor in his actions, strictly following the organization's rules and orders without exception. His dislike for Maki is evident in their interactions. However, beneath his tough exterior, he revealed a kinder side when he tried to save Maki from a life-threatening situation.
