The phone at Yuri's house rang.
"I'll get it," Yuri said. She rushed to the phone and picked it up. "Hello?"
"Yuri," It was Inky's voice, but it sounded sad and low.
"Inky? Is every thing alright?" Yuri asked. She had never heard this tone in her friend's voice.
"My father was killed."
Yuri almost dropped the phone at the news. She heard her friend start to cry.
"Don't worry, me and my dad will be there soon," Yuri told her friend. "Where are you?"
Yuri and her dad got in the car and rushed to Inky.
When they got there, they saw Inky sitting next to her father's motionless body, crying. Yuri's dad got him into the car and Yuri tried to sooth her friend.
The next week Yuri's Family hosted a Funeral for Mr. Thorn. All the Vampires and Humans that had known Mr. Thorn came. Even Liam came.
During the service, Liam sat next to Inky, Inky sat next to Yuri, and next to Yuri sat next to Willow. When that was done and the body was in the Vampire grave yard, Inky, Liam, Yuri, and Willow had a chance to talk.
"I wish there was something I could do for you," Willow said.
"You can stay at my house?" Yuri offered.
"Well, now that I am 18, I could buy your house from you, but you could still live there and it would give you some money," Liam offered. "With one condition."
"What's that," Inky asked.
"Can I live there too?" Liam asked. "I need to get away from my parents."
"Maybe," Inky said.
"How about we let the be and miss her father," Willow said.
"No, I don't want to hold onto a life that I can't have," Inky said. "I want to look at the future. That's what he would've wanted me to do."
"Well put," Yuri said. "Just remember that you don't have to do this alone."
"I won't," Inky told her. "I think I will take you up on your offer, Liam."
"I have to ask my mother what to do, but I will get on that," Liam said.
"How about we go out to get ice cream," Yuri added.
Everyone agreed, so after everyone left, the 4 friends went out to the ice cream store.
When they got there, Yuri chose a booth in the back and they all sat down.
"Anyone know what their getting?" Yuri asked looking at a menu.
"I am getting a chocolate Sunday," Inky said.
"I think I'll get a scoop of vanilla with sprinkles," Liam said.
"I might get the strawberry shake," Willow said.
Yuri looked from her friends and back at the menu. "Have any of you gotten the blood shake? Is it good?"
Liam went pale and Inky noticed.
"Yes, it is good, but Liam can't look at blood," Inky said.
Yuri looked at Liam and saw his pale face.
"I've never met a Vampire that can't look at blood before," Yuri said.
"Liam's not a Vampire," Inky said. "He's Human."
Willow and Yuri looked at Liam, mouths wide and eyes popping.
"Wait, are you the boy Inky kissed?" Willow asked. Liam's face went from white to red in a less then a second.
"Is that a yes?" Yuri asked confused.
"Well, he was my first kiss," Inky said blushing.
"So you have kissed other boys," Willow said.
"Not of my choosing," Inky said.
Liam looked at Inky. Now it was his turn to look shocked.
"Who else have you kissed?" He asked looking at Inky.
"Henry and Dany," Inky said.
"You've kissed them," Liam asked.
"More like they kissed me," Inky told them.
"Who is Henry and Dany?" Yuri asked. She was lost.
"Two huge jerks that I used to know," Liam said.
Willow and Yuri were shocked.
"When me and Inky went on our first walk that you set up," he pointed at Yuri, "We ran into them and said that I had to kiss Inky or he would. That was our 2nd kiss, Liam said.
"So how many times have you been kissed, Inky?" Willow asked.
"4," Inky replied.
"WHAT," Yuri yelled. Everyone in the ice cream store looked at their table and Yuri blushed.
The four friends finished their ice cream. Yuri got a blood drink for the go and they left. Willow went home and Yuri, Liam, and Inky went to Inky's house.
