The night went pretty well. However, at one point Inky curled her legs up. Now this alone was not a problem, but she started to kick Liam in the stomach. This hurt Liam and he let go of Inky, but she wouldn't stop. She did stop about an hour later, but Liam was still in pain and curled away from Inky. Inky curled around Liam and this made him a little worried but he didn't try and move Inky. He liked having her hug him in her sleep.
The next morning, Liam came down to breakfast and Aunt Sue asked how the night was.
"For the most part it was fine," Liam said. "Inky did kick me but I'm fine." Liam left out Inky's hug.
"And you didn't do anything?" Aunt Sue asked.
"I didn't do anything," Liam said, and that wasn't a lie. He had done nothing. Inky was the one that hugged him.
"Good," Aunt Sue said.
The two sat in the kichen in silence. An hour later, Inky walked in.
"How was the movie?" She asked. She was still in her dress from the night before.
"That was last night," Liam told her. "You fell asleep halfway into it and slept the rest of the night fine. Though you did have dream about your father. You pulled me into your bed and I had to sleep there with you." Liam had a sly smile and Inky's face went red.
"Really?" Inky asked. She couldn't believe that she had slept with Liam and she couldn't even remember it.
"Yep, and your knees kicked my stomach," Liam said. Inky went a deep red and looked down.
"Sorry about that," She told Liam. Aunt Sue left and Liam leaned over to whisper in Inky's ear.
"It's fine. Sleeping with you was fun," Liam whispered to Inky. He wore a sly smile and Inky just went even redder. Aunt Sue came back in and didn't notice anything a miss.
"So, do either of you have any plans for the day?" Aunt Sue asked.
"I was thinking of going to get some ice cream," Liam said. He looked at Inky, then added, "Would you like to join me?" he winked at her.
"OK, sounds like fun," Inky said. Her face was still a little pink, but at least it wasn't red.
"I need to do some shopping, so I will be out most of the day," Aunt Sue added. She glared at Liam and he shrank back.
When the four of them had finished they got ready to leave. Liam was about to open the front door when a gun shot could be heard from out side. Aunt Sue rushed to the window and looked out onto the street.
"Goodness graces, there is some one with a gun running this way," Aunt Sue said in a worried tone. "Quick, go to the basement, hurry!"
Liam grabbed Inky's arm and pulled her down stairs. They hid in a room in the back that was hidden in case of a time like this. Inky opened the door and Liam sat on the ground. Inky joined him and he had an arm over her shoulder. Aunt Sue came down a little later and joined them. She had a basket filled with food, anything she could grab.
The shots grew louder as the gun man came closer. The three of them huddled in the dark room, to scared to speak. Liam held Inky close and he could feel her trembling.
The boards above them start to creak and Aunt Sue realizes that he is in the house. She looks over at Inky and Liam. Inky looked as though she was about to start scrying. Liam was hugging her, trying to help. Aunt Sue put a finger to her lips. Liam looked up and saw the gestor. He started to stroke Inky's head.
The boards started to creak again as the person left the house.
An a few moments later shots could be heard, along with screams from people. This was the was the tipping point for Inky and tears started to roll down her face. The screams grew quitter as the gun man moved away from the house.
When at last the sound had stopped, Aunt Sue, Liam, and Inky came out and looked around. Everything seemed fine. Most of their stuff had not been stolen and there wasn't a whole lot out of place.
Aunt Sue turned to Inky and spoke. "Are you alright?"
"Thanks to Liam," Inky smiled and looked at Liam. Aunt Sue turned to stare at Liam.
"You two make quite the couple," She told them. "Just don't get carried away." She threw a deathly glare at Liam and this made Liam feel uncomfirtable.
"When can I marry him?" Inky question threw Liam and her aunt off guard and they stared at her, mouths open. Aunt Sue recovered faster then Liam.
"When you turn 18, Inky dear," She said.
"Can we have the wedding on my birthday?" Inky asked. Aunt Sue looked at the sealing and let out a sigh.
"I suppose that is ok, if you can get it al ready," Aunt Sue told Inky.
"I'm going to ask Yuri if she will help me pick out a dress," Inky was unleashed. She rushed to the door, but Liam grabbed her arm.
"Maybe that can wait till tomorrow," Liam said.
Inky agreed and they went to her room.
