Chapter 13

   Aunt Sue's dinner was very good. She had made chicken and mashed potatoes. Aunt Sue asked what they thought of her cookies.

"They were good," Liam said. Inky nodded.

"I was thinking of maybe doing a pie," Aunt Sue said. "Do either of you have a preference?"

"I like pumpkin," Liam and Inky said together.

Aunt Sue looked at the blushing pair but said nothing. They all finished dinner and went to their own rooms.

Liam got changed into a blue cotton nightshirt and pants that matched. As he was about to get into bed, a Black cat entered the room. The cat went over to him and started purring. Liam bent down to pet it.

"Where did you come from?" Liam asked the cat.

"Meow," The cat said.

Liam picked the cat up an put it on the bed. The cat's eyes widened, but When Liam pet it again the cat's eyes closed a little, but it was still alert. Liam got under the covers and put his arm out for the cat to sleep. The cat had read his thoughts and already lay on his arm. The cats was soft fur on Liam's arm and he soon fell asleep facing the cat.

When Liam woke, he found the cat was gone, instead Inky was in her night dress next to him.

"What? Inky?" Liam was still sleepy. "Inky, what are you doing here?"

Inky was still asleep. Liam shook her shoulders and she lazily opened one eye.

"Hmmm, What?" Inky said. She sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"Why are you in my bed?" Liam said in a stern voice. Inky's eyes widened and her face grew warm.

"I, um, wanted to sleep with you," Inky tried to smile, but couldn't when she saw Liam's face. "I'm sorry."

Liam had gotten out of bed and was standing with his arms crossed looking at Inky. He sighed, then sat next to her.

"Well, I don't like being tricked, but I must say that sleeping with my crush does make me happy," Liam said. "But most of the adults in your life have told me to stay away from you and that you are too young."

Inky looked down and remembered the warnings.

"But I WANT to sleep with you," Inky said.

Liam's face was stern, but his voice was soft. "I want to sleep with you too. But we can't."

Liam grabbed a shirt, hoodie, and a pair of pants and went to the bathroom to change. Inky was left alone. She left the room and headed to her room to change as well.

When she got to her room she closed the door and took off her night dress. She picked out a black, of the shoulder dress. It had an elastic waist and long sleeves. Right as Inky was putting on a black choker Liam opened the door.

"Inky, I wa," Liam stopped short when he saw Inky. She took his breath away. He tried to start again. "I was going to go out and was wondering if you would join me."

"Sure," Inky said. She pulled out a hair comb with a red gem in it and put it in her hair on the back of her head. Inky passed Liam in the door way and went to the bathroom.

when Inky was done, her and Liam went on a walk.
