Society Has Its Expectations

Don't show them your frown

They'll know that you're down

And society has its expectations

Oh, but hide that smile

Just for a lil while

Cuz society has its expectations

Blend into the crowd

Or they'll call you loud

And society has its expectations

Obsessed with your phone

You're just a mindless clone

Or maybe, society has its expectations

They will pull

Like a bull

You'll conform

You'll be torn

Be a ghost

Like the most

And just hide

Don't confide

Cuz society has its expectations

Work hard everyday

Never sit and play

Cuz society has its expectations

Follow what you're taught

Or you'll end up caught

And society has its expectations

Do as you are told

Don't dare to be bold

You can be unique

But must have a clique 

Cuz society has its expectations

They want you to be scared

Even to ask for help

They like to have control

And won't care if you welp

Want to meet the standards

But it's not possible

When the "perfection" you see

Isn't quite plausible

But still, society has its expectations

You'll follow

Be hollow

Cuz society has its expectations
