Wednesday evening had finally arrived, and Taylor's home was buzzing with excitement. Her friends had all arrived, their laughter and chatter filling the rooms with a warm, welcoming energy. The Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, Margaret Qualley, and Jack Antonoff were spread out across the living room, catching up on the latest gossip and reminiscing about old times.

Taylor, meanwhile, was flitting between the kitchen and the dining room, making sure everything was perfect. She had three pizzas in the oven, their delicious aroma filling the air, and large bottles of soda dotted around the dining table, ready for her guests. She couldn't help but feel a little anxious as she kept glancing at the clock, wondering when Eliot and his cousins would arrive.

Just as she was arranging some snacks on a platter, Jack approached her, his expression curious. He had noticed her nervous energy and couldn't resist the urge to tease her a bit.

"Why are you so nervous, Tay?" Jack asked, leaning casually against the counter.

Taylor looked up, slightly startled. "I don't know," she admitted, her voice a bit higher than usual. "I just want everything to go smoothly."

Jack raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on his face. "Is it because of Eliot?"

Taylor rolled her eyes, not in the mood for Jack's teasing. "Maybe," she said, trying to sound nonchalant but failing miserably.

Jack chuckled. "You've faced stadiums full of fans, paparazzi, and critics, but one guy makes you nervous?"

Taylor gave him a look that said she wasn't amused. "It's different, Jack."

He shrugged, his teasing tone softening. "Just be yourself, Tay. Everything's going to be fine. Besides, from what you've told us, he seems like a pretty chill guy."

Taylor nodded, appreciating his words even though she wouldn't admit it out loud. "Thanks, Jack."

He gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder before wandering back to the group, leaving Taylor to her thoughts.

Taylor was nestled comfortably in her favourite armchair, sipping on a tall glass of lemonade. Around her, her friends lounged on the couches and chairs, chatting animatedly about various topics.

"So, Tay," Sophie started, leaning forward. "Tell us more about this Eliot guy."

Taylor took a sip of her lemonade, trying to appear nonchalant. "There's not much to tell, really."

"Oh, come on," Danielle chimed in. "You're being so mysterious. We just want to know a little bit about the guy who managed to snag a date with you."

Taylor laughed lightly, shaking her head. "He didn't 'snag' a date with me. We just hit it off, that's all."

Blake raised an eyebrow. "Just hit it off? That's all you're giving us?"

Taylor opened her mouth to respond but was interrupted by a knock at the door. She felt a wave of relief wash over her and couldn't help but mumble, "Saved by the bell."

She stood up, smoothing down her dress and taking a deep breath before walking to the door. As she opened it, her heart skipped a beat. There, standing on the doorstep, was Eliot, looking slightly nervous but smiling warmly. Behind him were his cousins, Izzie and Noah, each holding something in their hands.

"Hey," Eliot said, his voice soft and a bit unsure.

"Hey," Taylor replied, her smile widening as she took in the sight of him. Without thinking, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Eliot seemed surprised but quickly recovered, wrapping his arms around her waist and hugging her back. The embrace was warm and comforting, and Taylor felt her earlier nerves begin to melt away.
