Two Years Later

Jason laid awake in his bed, his eyes locked onto the slowly spinning fan on the ceiling of his room. It was the middle of summer, his room was pretty hot and Jason was starting to sweat. His dreams had been plagued with nightmares of that hell hole.

He lightly brushed the fingers of his left hand over his right hand, the transition of soft, untouched skin, to the ragged ends at the final bend of the finger, and the tips, just bone and tendon. He sighed to himself, then rolled over on his side. Jason's body was riddled with scars, varying in both size and shape, but all with the same backstory.

"The Pizzaplex." He muttered to himself,

It had been two years since he and his friends were trapped within the massive expanse that was Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. When he befriended one of the animatronics, Glamrock Bonnie and watched him get torn apart. When three of his friends died. When he himself almost died countless times.

Jason's Mom had forbidden him from ever returning to that place.

His mind raced and the words kept repeating. The promise. Remember the promise you made.

"Tomorrow." Jason whispered softly to himself, "Tomorrow, I'm gonna put an end to this. I'm gonna put an end to Vanny."

Jason closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, he mentally prepared himself for yet another nightmare.

Nearing 2:00 PM, Jason decided to call his friends to his house. They all came at different times but only minutes apart. Brian was busy with something. They talked in his room, reminiscing about that dreaded night, two years ago.

"How's your hand?" Sean asked, pointing to Jason's glove over his right hand.

"It's been fine." Jason said, "But my injuries aren't the reason why we are here. I- I can't help but shake the feeling of guilt I have."

"Go on." Kate urged him

"I feel I have a responsibility to make things right. So, I've decided I'm going to go back to the Pizzaplex."

Jason could tell his friends did not approve of this. Sean turned and looked to the ground, debating on what to say next. "Why?" was the only thing he managed to say.

"I have a theory that the animatronics aren't acting on their free will. I think Vanny is controlling them. If I take care of Vanny, maybe I can free them from her grasp."

"Jason, what the hell is wrong with you." Sean said, pointing at him, "You want us to come back to the place where three us literally died! What the actual-

"I'm not asking you to come with me." Jason interjected, "I was gonna go alone anyway."

"Jason, it's too dangerous." Kate said, her eyes wide with fear.

"It doesn't matter what you guys think. I'm going tonight. I just wanted to tell you guys beforehand." Jason said, suppressing his boiling anger.

After a little moment of silence, Sean and Kate left. Kate grabbed Jason's hand and lightly squeezed it, "Please be careful." she said before letting go and following after Sean. Jason came down the stairs and let the two out. Jason saw them debating amongst themselves as they walked down the sidewalk and out of his sight. Jason let out a small sigh.

Jason looked at his phone screen, he unlocked it and went up into his room. Jason sunk into the mattress as he sat down. He searched up when Freddy and the Gang would be performing. To his luck they were performing tonight. He snickered to himself, perfect! I can sneak in, hide somewhere until the doors close, and face Vanny and kill her.

Jason's injured hand tingled, he looked down at it and brushed his fingers over it. He looked over at his clunky glove then back at his hand. "Too heavy, I need to be able to move. Just in case." Jason rummaged through his drawers looking for anything he could use.

He found an old winter glove, it felt weird when he slid it on. The fabric brushing over the ravaged appendages. "This will have to do." Jason whispered to himself, "Now for protection."

Jason grabbed a metal baseball bat from his closet, he hadn't played in forever due to his hand. He took a few practice swings before putting it on the floor, then grabbed a shirt from his drawer and ripped a few strips of fabric off. He tied them into a makeshift sheath with arm straps. Jason took off his shirt and slid the sheath on. Afterwards, he put his shirt back on. In his closet, he grabbed his old Roxy Raceway hoodie. It was big on him two years ago but now it fit pretty well.

While in his room, Jason used spare cardboard and duct tape to craft pads for his shins, forearms, abdomen, shoulders, thighs, and chest. He permanently fixed the ramshackle armour to his body with loops of duct tape. He even added some protection to the fingertips of his glove. The makeshift body armour was hidden pretty well with all of his clothes on.

Before leaving, Jason grabbed a small box from under his bed. He opened it gingerly and set the lid aside. Jason let out a long sigh, "I might as well."

Jason dumped the contents of the box out on the floor, a blue object bounced and landed in between his legs.

His Faz Watch.

Jason picked it up and wrapped it around his right wrist. He brushed a thin sheet of dust from the screen and turned it on. It was still in the Admin setting. He could enter and exit the Pizzaplex whenever he wanted, hopefully it would still work. His Mom was at work and wasn't going to be home by 9:00 PM. If he was lucky, she would be too tired to check if Jason was still home.

Jason locked the front door behind him and entered the garage. His car was turned off, waiting for him. Jason unlocked the car and before he got in something glinted on the wall. He looked over and saw a sledge hammer mounted on the wall. He smirked, and grabbed it, putting the hammer in the passenger seat.

Jason started the car and pulled out of the driveway and started down the road towards the highway. He had a determined look on his face. He turned off the radio. Jason needed a plan, how would he be able to sneak into a place where he could wait until the doors closed? What would he do if he was caught? What if his weapons failed him?

Jason shook his head, getting those thoughts out of his mind. "Don't think like that." He said, turning the wheel and switching lanes, "Focus on the mission."

Jason put his foot on the gas, making the car go faster down the long stretch of highway.

Author's Notes:

Jason is now taking matters into his own hands. He believes that by killing Vanny, the animatronics would be free. But is he correct in his train of thought? Is Vanny really the one pulling the strings? You, the reader, will find out in the next chapter.

No seriously, thank you all so much for sticking around and reading all of part one. So I hope that you all will enjoy part 2. My uploads will coming out sooner cuz I'm out of school now and am on Summer Beak.
