Gregory was surprisingly a brave little boy. He was able to best the animatronics in almost every turn. Gregory even destroyed them in various ways. He took the upgraded parts from them and put them into Freddy.
After installing Roxanne's eyes, by then Jason had gotten most control over Freddy by 6:00 AM and he helped Gregory get to the open doors. But Gregory wanted to stay. He wanted to figure out more mysteries of the Pizzaplex.
Turns out the figure was still down under Roxy Raceway within the old establishment. He had healed from his wounds. Once Gregory and Jason made it down to him, he awoke and tried to take control of Freddy. Jason blacked out and once he awoke the figure's presence was gone and the room was burning. The fire was greater than the one Jason had caused three years ago with his first encounter.
Jason and Gregory escaped the Pizzaplex as it burned to the ground. In the morning as the sun rose above the horizon, Jason, still in the body of Freddy, sat with Gregory on a flowery hill under a tree and watched the sunrise.
