The summer heat hung heavy over Tulsa as Darry Curtis wiped his brow, taking a break from his work at the auto shop. He leaned against a stack of tires, squinting in the sunlight as he watched the world go by. It was days like these that reminded him of carefree childhood summers spent with his brothers.

As he looked up, he noticed Gwen approaching, a familiar smile lighting up her face. She had a radiant aura that always caught Darry's attention.

"Hey, Darry," Gwen greeted him with a wave.

Darry smiled warmly. "Hey, Gwen. What brings you around here?"

Gwen shrugged, her eyes sparkling. "Just thought I'd say hi. It's been a while since we caught up."

Darry nodded, grateful for the company. "Yeah, it has. Want to grab a drink? There's a café nearby."

Gwen grinned. "Sure, that sounds great."

They walked to the café, chatting about old times and sharing stories from their lives. Darry couldn't help but admire Gwen's wit and charm, feeling a familiar warmth in her presence.

As they sat at a table outside, sipping their drinks, Darry found himself lost in Gwen's laughter and the easy flow of conversation. He couldn't deny the attraction he felt towards her, a feeling that had been growing stronger with each passing day.

"Gwen," Darry began, his voice soft yet determined. "There's something I've been wanting to tell you."

Gwen looked at him, her curiosity piqued. "What is it, Darry?"

Darry took a deep breath, gathering his courage. "I think you're gorgeous, Gwen. Your are so gorgeous it makes me so mad, and I can't help but admire you."

Gwen's cheeks flushed slightly, a smile tugging at her lips. "Darry, that's... really sweet of you to say."

Without another word, Darry leaned in, closing the distance between them and capturing Gwen's lips in a gentle yet passionate kiss. It was a moment of vulnerability and honesty, a silent confession of his feelings for her.

Time seemed to stand still as they lost themselves in the kiss, the world around them fading into the background. When they finally pulled away, both breathless and smiling, Darry felt a sense of relief and contentment.

"Gwen," Darry whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "I've been wanting to do that for a long time."

Gwen smiled, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "I'm glad you did, Darry. I've been waiting for it too."

As they walked back to their cars, hand in hand, Darry couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment and the gorgeous girl who had captured his heart.
