Iti woke up and didn't find either of her parents near her,she immediately got up from the bed and sighed in relief when she saw Carrie was still in the room.

"Chaliye Carrie mumma papa ko dhundte h"Iti said thinking her parents were downstairs,so she held his leash and made her way downstairs.

Sumitra,Andy,Pinky and Shakti who were in the living room turned towards the stairs as they heard the sound of Carrie's bark and saw Iti standing with him.

A smile grazed on their lips as they saw her lil self dressed in cute cartoon printed night pyjamas,her hair a mess as she still rubbed her eyes.

Iti stared at them but then her eyes started searching for her parents whom she couldn't find.

Sumitra was quick to get up and be by her side.

"Iti beta,mummy papa dono college gaye h,thodi derr mein wapas aa jayenge"Sumitra said kindly and Iti stared at her face,those same blue eyes staring at her which she sees when she looks at her papa.

"Hame akela chodkr chale gaye?"Iti asked with a sad pout forming on her lips.

"Aapki toh school ki chutti thi na aaj?phir aapko kese lekr jaatein?"Sumitra said and Iti then nodded because it did make sense.

"Aao mein aapko aaj ready kr deti hu,phir naashta bhi krna h na?"Sumitra said and Iti stared at her for a moment and then obliged because she didn't have any other option.

Bela would have done it but she had to urgently leave for her Art Gallery as Shruti wasn't able to come today and there was an important painting that had to be delivered by today only.

Bela had complete trust over her father in law and mother in law that they could take care of Iti because when she had Nirvair and wanted to go back to work it was them who would take care of him till she arrived back from her work.

"Aapki aankhein hamare papa jesi h!"Iti pointed out as Sumitra was giving her a bath and also talking to her in between.

Sumitra smiled hearing that.

After getting her ready,Iti was silently eating the poha which was specially made for her by Sumitra because she didn't wished to have a paratha.Sumitra and Pinky sat giving her company as the two tried to talk to their great granddaughter.

"Mumma!!"Iti screamed as she heard the loud rumbling of a thunder and covered both of her ears with her palms,by then her eyes already shedding tears as she felt scared.

Sumitra and Pinky were quick to act on their feet as Sumitra picked the lil girl in her arms and carried her to the living room settling her on her lap as she caressed her back which shook as sobs left her mouth.

They understood it was the heavy rain and the sound of the thunder which had frightened the poor soul.

"Beta,yeh toh sirf baarish ki aawaz h,kuch nhi hoga,isse thodi dara krte h!"Sumitra said as she patted her back and in response Iti clutched Sumitra's saree in tight grip hugging her tightly as her cries didn't stop instead she cried even more.

"Shh....bas beta,hum toh ghar ke ander h,yaha kuch nhi hoga aapko"Sumitra said patting her back.

"Ham..ha..hame...mumm..mumma..ke..paa..paas....Jaa...jaana....h....h..ham...hame....darr...l....lag...rah...raha...h"Iti stammered.

Andy quickly asked the househelp to shut all the doors and windows and they immediately got to work.

Once all the windows and doors were closed the sound of the thunder subsided a little but it was still heavily raining.
