Loving can hurt sometimes, but it's the only thing that I know.

Engfa's POV:
"She divorced Mew," I said while playing with the pancakes that Freen had made.
"Really?" Freen was suddenly interesting, as she quickly rounded her kitchen counter to sit across me in her kitchen table, "Did she showed you the papers? Was it really signed?"
"No, she didn't. She just told me she signed the divorce papers. That's all,"
"That's all? She didn't say anything else?" Freen inquired more.
I sighed, remembering all the things Charlotte had said from our last encounter. "No. She said something else."
I told Freen everything and she listened carefully with everything I say. It's really good to have her as a friend who I can throw all my rants in life.
"Damn," Freen said as she stuffed her mouth with a mouthful of pancakes. "But I am proud of you for not giving in. If I were you, I would do the same. I wouldn't let her ruin me again."
I stared at Freen, reading her face. I know she's right, and I totally agreed to what she'd said, but part of me disagreed with her.
"Yeah," was all that I had said.
We spent the entire morning having chats and finishing up some songs when suddenly, my phone started ringing.
It's Yoko.
I answered it quickly and put the phone to my ear.
"Hey, everything okay?" I asked her, my voice soft.
"Hi, yes, everything's fine. Uhm," Yoko seemed to hesitate to say what's on her mind so I gave her a quick reassurance.
"What is it, Yoko? You can tell me,"
"I think it would be better if I say this to you in person. Can we meet today?"
"Alright, just send me the location. I'll be there in 10." I said before I hang up.
"Are you meeting Yoko today?" Freen said as she made her way to me.
"Yeah, she said she had something to say."
"Alright, let's just continue this later then," Freen patted me on my shoulder, a knowing smile etched on her face.
I bid Freen a goodbye and went to drive towards the location Yoko had sent me. But, unfortunately, I was caught up in a traffic. I sent her I quick text saying that I will be a bit late since I got trapped in a traffic.
Fortunately enough, it didn't last very long. I arrived at the café that Yoko and I had agreed to meet, just 10 minutes late.
When I walked into the cafe, the smell of fresh coffee hit me right away. I looked around and saw Yoko sitting there, lost in her thoughts. I went up to her with a big smile on my face. Standing in front of her, I noticed she still hadn't seen me because she was thinking so hard about something.
It seemed like she felt my gaze because she suddenly looked up and noticed me.
"Everything okay?" I asked softly, concerned. "You want to talk?"
I took a seat across from her.
"Uh, yeah," Yoko replied nervously, her unease not escaping my notice. "Let's order something first. What do you want?" and she handed me the menu.
