Satoru watched Rina from his spot by the bonfire, his blue eyes narrowing as he noticed her stand up and walk away from the group. The firelight cast long shadows on her figure, making her look ethereal as she moved toward the beach. The flames flickered, casting dancing lights on the faces of his friends, but Satoru's attention was solely on Rina. Her silhouette against the darkening sky captivated him, and he felt a pang of something deep within his chest.

His focus was so riveted on her that he almost missed Suguru standing up a minute later, his gaze fixed on Rina's retreating form. A flare of anger ignited in Satoru's chest, hotter than the flames before him. He watched Suguru follow Rina with an all-too-familiar intent, his stride purposeful.

Excusing himself abruptly from Mei Mei, who was in the middle of recounting a story, Satoru muttered something about needing a walk. Mei Mei's voice faded into the background as he moved away, his focus now entirely on the two figures heading toward the water.
