Layla
I woke up and looked at the clock.
It was 9 in the morning.
I suddenly remembered about busboy being here.
My eyes widened.
I hurriedly opened my door, unlocking it in the process.
I saw no one on the couch, but instead, smelt a scent of pancakes?
I went to the kitchen, looking for him, and saw the stranger cooking but with an apron, shirtless.
His stomach visible from the sides where the apron wasn't covering.
Heat rose on my cheeks.
I gulped.
My eyes were staring there, trying my best to keep a smile from coming by biting the inside of my lips.
Dang, he fit.
I coughed, catching his attention.
"Oh, you're awake," He said.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Well, I decided to cook breakfast as payment for letting me sleep here," He explained.
"Shirtless?" I asked.
He chuckled.
"You like it?" He smiled, teasingly.
"Eww! No thank you!" I said immediately. "I'm just asking why you had to be shirtless while cooking," I explained myself.
"I couldn't find my shirt, and I supposed the apron would cover my stomach," He said.
I nodded in response, looking away.
"Here," He said as he fixed me a plate of pancakes and gave it to me with a fork.
"Thanks," I said as I sat down on the chair.
He fixed himself a plate afterward.
I wasn't really a fan of pancakes but ate it anyway.
I mean, he did make it.
"How will you get your key then?" I asked.
"I'll ask my brother since we're sharing rooms,"
I nodded in response.
"How long will you be here?" He asked.
"For the summer" I replied.
"Same" He blatantly said.
"You go here often?" I asked.
"Yea" He answered.
"Why?"
"I go here every summer for surfing,"
"Ohhh, so I guess we'll be seeing each other often?"
"Yes, is that supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?" He asked.
"I don't know" I shrugged.
