Layla
I was getting bored at the party.
I stayed with my uncle while he was talking with his friends.
They were mostly talking about business stuff which I wasn't much interested in.
I walked around the room, going to a table filled with food.
I took some marshmallows and dipped them in melted chocolate using a stick.
I decided to exit the room and go to the beach.
It was dark but had some lights to support it.
I looked up and saw the stars.
They were as pretty as a picture.
Very prepossessing.
The loud waves were audible as the water was becoming deep.
It was amusing how the water would go up so fast.
"Didn't know I'd see you here." A voice located on my left from a few distance said.
I looked at where the voice came from and saw a figure.
"Do I know you?" I asked.
"We've met," He remarked, moving closer towards me.
I looked at the moving figure long enough and finally realized who it was.
"You're that guy from the bus stop right?" I asked.
He hummed in response as he reached me.
He was wearing a black tuxedo which suited him a lot.
He went next to me and leaned on the tree that I was leaning on.
"I never got the chance to ask you this but, what's your name?" I asked.
"Your's first. I don't trust you." He said.
I chuckled.
We were both looking at the sea, not caring to glance at each other.
"Just for a name?" I asked.
"Yep"
"What if I don't want to give my name?"
"Then no one will know each other's name"
"Then let us let it stay like that"
Silence. It was a type of silence that was comforting.
"The stars are very pretty, don't you think?" I broke the silence.
"Wait, I have an idea," He said and ran going to one of the rooms.
I looked at his fading figure in confusion.
He came back with a blanket.
He placed the blanket neatly like a picnic mat on the sand, placing rocks on the side to prevent it from flying since it was windy.
He sat down on one side of the blanket and smiled, looking at me.
His eyes turned into a crescent shape while he was smiling.
A very pleasant view.
He patted the other side of the blanket.
I broke into a smile seeing how innocent he looked and walked towards the blanket.
I took off my slippers and sat down on the blanket.
He then laid down, placing his arm as his support for his head, as a pillow.
I laid down, following him.
We were both admiring the stars.
The stars that lit in a special way.
Well, the thing is, today was the day where a meteor shower would occur.
And suddenly, it did.
The sky was filled with beautiful white lines all over.
We both gasped when we saw the happenings.
Glad to witness this type of event with you, stranger.
