I know that dark clouds are looming over us, waiting to unleash their rage upon earth but I would trade everything and anything to have this moment with you.

She didn't know how long she slept but it was a peaceful sleep because she closed her eyes knowing that someone trustworthy was close to her. The morning light coming from the window warmed her body and she didn't want to leave the sheets until last night’s memories rushed back to her. Yasmine’s eyes fluttered open and she rubbed them and slowly sat down with a slight frown.

Another nightmare. It's been a week since their deaths and she has given her grieve to Allah but the memories were still hunting her. When will it stop? Yasmine didn't like seeing their pain over and over again. Maybe it will stop when she gets justice for her parents and finds Najwa.

“I need to stay strong for Baba and Maman. Najwa still needs me. Yasmine, be strong. You have Allah and Amir Jassir too,” she reminded herself. Speaking of Jaasir, he probably left. She dreaded what their relationship could cause to him. They need to speak.

She got off the bed and adjusted the sheet before walking to the window and spreading the curtains more. The sunlight shone on her figure and she yawned stretching her arms. She felt hungry and who knew how long she was sleeping?

“Amira Yasmine, are you awake?” she heard Sana knock on the door.

“Yes, Sana. Come in,” she turned around and walked to the door. Sana walked in and gave Yasmine a small smile. “Sabahul Khair Amira. How was your first night here?” she asked smilingly.

“Alhamdulillah Sana,” Yasmine replied, not getting why Sana was smiling weirdly. “Do you know…where the Amir went?’ she asked curiously.

 Sana replied respectfully,

“He left in the morning and told me to take care of you,”

“Oh alright,” Yasmine nodded, rubbing her arms.

“Let me prepare your bath, Amira. Breakfast will arrive shortly,” Sana said and Yasmine smiled going after her. She sank into the hot bathtub, feeling some stress being relieved. She came out in a warm robe and Sana had prepared an outfit for the day.

Yasmine dressed in the dark pink royal gown, which was made with silk with beautiful lace on the arm, chest, and hem of the skirt. She sat down as Sana combed her brown hair and made it into a cute bun.

“Breakfast is here,” She said and went to open the door. Yasmine stood up and watched them arrange the simple breakfast, tea, and fruits on the table.

“Jazakumullahu Khair,” she thanked them and they lowered their head in gratitude before leaving the room.

“I am hungry Sana,” Yasmine couldn't help but say as she held her gown aside and sat down. Yesterday, she barely ate out of anxiety and she slept for this long.

“It's understandable my Amira. Every woman feels anxious on her wedding night and barely eats,” Sana giggled.

Yasmine tasted the soft bread and gave a wry look at Sana. “I didn't get married Sana. You know that,”

“Well, it's not that different, was it?” Sana shrugged and rubbed her neck when Yasmine ignored the comment.

“You know what Amira Yasmine, you might be a concubine now but that can be changed. You are beautiful and the Amir clearly loves you. It won't be long before everyone acknowledges you as a princess,” she said dreamily.

Yasmine stared at the tea in her hand as the words ran in her head. “It's not as easy as you think Sana and I don't care about any title. At least…I can stay here with the Amir,” she whispered and sipped her tea.
