My dear friend
Please hold my hand
Please be my scaffold
And bear my weight on your back

Wet, dry and kiln fire my crumbled bones
Hold me delicately between your fingertips
And paint me a bright blue sky
With rosy petals on my cheeks

Be my wooden canvas, hold me up
Let me stretch my skin across your frame
Rigid and taught
I'm stable, to the touch

Weld me together
Boil my blood then let it harden and cool
Drip me across under your fiery heat
Let the invisible bonds take their shapes

Be the panes for my glass
Hold me up then watch me shatter
Watch the stone thrown
Watch me be swept away, not safe to stay
