Pt.36

"I can't tell if I should be happy we just beat your sister or sad" I tell nika as we head to the locker room so she can freshen up a little before taking pictures with her family.

"She'll be fine she's still my little rook" she shrugs. "Mm you're heading to dinner with them after this right?" I ask sitting down as she nods in front of the mirror. "You can come with you know" she sings turning to me. "Nahiem is here no?" "Yes but you can still come" she smiles.

"Nika they were looking for you out there" ice says walking in. "I'm sweaty as fuck I'm just cleaning up a little thanks" nika smiles as ice sits next to me.

"Thanks but no I'll probably go home or something" I shrug. "We're heading out for dinner and drinks you don't wanna come?" Ice asks "mm seems appealing yet not appealing at the same time" I groan. "Mm p is going you can keep an eye on her or you can be dd" she says poking my arm making me laugh.

"Well yeah but you'll probably have to wait for me to take pictures and a little mic up with nika and hana" I say "I'm sure we can wait I mean we have to get ready too" ice says.

Nika and I leave the locker room and she skips over to her parents which I naturally get some clips of. "Hana come you can finally meet Madeline" she says as we have spoken over the phone here and there. "Hi it's so nice to finally meet you you're gorgeous" I smile as she embraces me in a hug "yeah you as well you're so pretty" she smiles.

"She thought you were going to be upset over the loss" Nika laughs "I am" hana giggles making us all laugh. "Hey do you want me to pack up your stuff?" I hear a familiar blonde ask behind me. I turn around and sure enough Paige was a few steps away. "Uhm me?" I ask "duh" she chuckles "I'm fine" I say turning back around.

"I'm sorry yes you" she says holding my arm as I turn back around. "If you could that'd be nice but be careful I have the bigger lens inside just put it in-" "inside the protective sleeve yes I know I'll be in the locker room hana it was nice seeing you again" she says going over to hug her and nika.

"Yeah you too nice game" she smiles "you better not piss her off anymore" nika warns. "I'll try" Paige sings as she walks off to pack my stuff up. "Alright I'm thinking you guys switch shirts you have something under nik?"

We had made it safely to the restaurant/ bar and we had all sat down and ordered some appetizers. "My throat hurts" Jana groans next to me "maybe because you were yelling" I laugh as she lays her head on me.

"Maddie why are you editing right now?" Jana laughs "I have to get this uploaded by tomorrow morning if I was a bit better I could get it up but tonight but I don't see that happening" "she said she's dedicated" ice laughs as she's sitting on my opposite side. "I mean this thankfully is just clipping and piecing them together" I shrug.

"Enough work talk" kk groans "she's right shall we get some drinks Jana?" Paige asks and Jana complies soon accumulating more of the girls we came with to go get a drink.

"Didn't take long for someone to find Paige" ice laughs besides me pointing over to the bar. Already somehow my girlfriend had attracted another pretty girl right to her side. "I can never win huh" I chuckle putting my phone down to watch the pair of girls in front of me.

"I mean you're already dating you can count that as a win" ice laughs. "It doesn't matter if we aren't on good terms" I say "yeah but you know Paige is all for you, she might not show it now but she's totally obsessed she's literally asked me how you are every day since you guys had that argument" she chimes in making me smile.

An hour passes by of ice and I talking about the past when suddenly kk comes over to us "Here is ice and Maddie they're here conversing converse with the live" kk says leaving her phone to us. "Hi guys" I say setting up the phone so you can see both Ice and I. "We're fine dining" I say "why did she just leave this here should we end it?" Ice says reading the comments knowing the people would disagree.

"Yeah it's very cold here I mean it's about to be December the east coast typically gets cold" i say pressing my lips together. "No need for the attitude" ice laughs "I was kidding" I laugh ice just stares back making me giggle even more.

"And this is my girlfriend mad-" "here she is and she brought a friend" I say shutting up Paige before she speaks any longer. "This is my girl friends Maddie and Ice" Paige says introducing us to the girl next to her "and this is emi-" "Emma" the brunette corrects her making me turn to ice.

"Come say hi to the live Paige" ice says as Paige is clearly not sober. "Let's film a TikTok" she says excitedly wrapping her arms around ice. "Yeah let's this is a behind the scenes you guys" ice says holding the phone.

"How many drinks did she have?" I whisper to the brunette behind me. "I didn't count" she shrugs "she bought them?" I ask she nods in disagreement "I offered" "you offered to buy my girlfriend drinks?" I chuckle. "She agreed" the girl exclaims "girl who is passing up free drinks" I laugh getting annoyed. "Sorry" she says softly "it's okay" I sigh as it is also Paige's fault for not realizing she passed her limit.

After I helped drop off the rest of the girls home I decided to take Paige home with me as she was the only one who had exceeded her limit and I wanted to care for her.

"You know Maddie you didn't have to do this I know you're still upset" she slurs as we walk to my bedroom. "I know but I want to make sure you're good to go for practice tomorrow" I say laying her on my bed.

"Cmon let's get you changed" I say going over to one of my drawers designated with Paige's clothes as she had stayed here so many times. "Let me brush my teeth first" she says heading to the restroom. "The clothes are out here in going to get you some water okay" I say loudly so she can hear.

I fill my hydro flask up with water and find the Advils and head back into the room where Paige had successfully changed and laid back down on the bed. "Here" I say handing her the bottle and setting the pills on the bedside table.

I head into the restroom and do my nighttime routine and go back outside to change into something more comfortable. "You wear that hoodie more than me" she laughs. "I like the color" I shrug heading to bed in just the hoodie and my boy shorts.

I turn off the lights and turn on star lights and the salt lamp and climb into bed. "Maddie thank you for letting stay here" she giggles. "Of course" I say turning to get a better look at her.

"I'm sorry for not answering you at the game and calling you you know that word I was just so mad that we hadn't started off with a clean sheet but it's not your fault I know and I took it out on you when you were only being nice and supportive, and I'm sorry for talking to Isabella I don't know what went through my mind that was a very shitty thing. I'm really sorry you know I love you so much I'd never really mean it it's just I have no excuse for what happened that day but I just want you to know I like you a lot like a crazy amount" she sighs in relief which makes me smile.

"I like you a lot too Paige" I say leaning over kissing her cheek "I missed you a shit ton too by the way"she adds. "I bet after not seeing me for a week and then adding to that" I laugh as she just hums.

I realize she's probably not in the great state to keep talking so I decide to cut the conversation and just go on my phone until I can drift off to sleep which doesn't take very long.
