206. Have Your Cake And Eat It

February 4th, 4-0 win. February 7th, 8-0 win in the Copa de la Reina quarterfinal. And February 10th, 2-3 win. They were slowly getting back into their rhythm, defrosting from the winter as Lucy joked.

When they got back to the team hotel after the narrow win to Sevilla, a few of them ran for the common room to turn the TV's on before they were even having dinner.

Everyone knew what they wanted to catch by chance, Cartier's new love advert that had just dropped today.

Mapi and Kaia both posted a short teaser version of it to their Instagram stories, and it's fair to say the fans were going crazy for it and them.

Mapi was anxious for others to see it, more so be in the room when they see it because she doesn't want to see their reactions. But she had to, so she bit her tongue and sat down for dinner with everyone else as some random TV show was playing on one of the main Spanish channels.

Every time adverts would appear, the eager ones would hold their breaths. While Kaia and Mapi kept focus on their foods and their own conversation about Valentine's Day itself.

But the moment they hear the first note of the song chosen for their advert, the couple look up to see it's on the main screen.

"Children, close your eyes." Lucy teases into the room, but no one looks away.

Mapi takes an awkward glance to Jonatan and the table of trainers, but she blocks that out and watches it herself.

The black and white, the close panning of their bodies; tattoos, skin, muscles, the milliseconds of steamy intimacy between them, it had many of their teammates with their jaws on the floor; shocked, impressed, all of the above.

It was a first for any female footballer to do this type of campaign, let alone a couple within the sport who looked as if they were professional models with the way they moved and acted.

Mapi was even impressed with herself, although she knows all her calm body language and natural smiles came from doing it with Kaia. She was her safe place, and it made it come together perfectly.

"Woo!" Pina whistles with her fingers while Patri, Salma, Jana, Bruna, Jill, Lucy and Vicky clap loudly. "Very sexy, Mapi."

"Jesus Christ." Mapi pinches the bridge of her nose when she sees Jonatan chuckle into his spoonful of soup.

"Very sexy, indeed." Lucy continues without shame. "Can I have that necklace you were wearing in the close up?" She asks.

"No, that's mine now." Mapi refuses childishly. "And don't be stingy, buy Ona something instead of asking me for freebies." She teases so only the odd few actually hear her; Ona not included.

Patri leans forward on the shared table. "Those rings with your initials on them, do they have the entire alphabet or only a few?"

Kaia looks at her with a knowing smile. "I'll get you a pair with an E and a P."

"Gracias." Patri smiles gratefully.

The morning of Valentine's Day, Kaia woke Mapi up with breakfast in bed and a playful promise of sex tonight after their league game.

Mapi took her breakfast with a grateful and happy smile, but her smile was also at her own surprise planned for tonight. She was extremely excited about it for many reasons, but she couldn't focus on that yet with the match day prep they have.

Kaia was also non the wiser to her simple yet significant gesture, which made it more thrilling in Mapi's mind.

Still, the two of them left the flat and went in for activation training. Love was definitely in the air at Joan Gamper, even Alexia and Natalie were at one point talking and smiling with each other.
