Vegas' POV

I opened the jewelry box in my hand, examining the custom piece I had designed and selected the gemstones for.

*Knock, knock, knock.* The sound of knocking on the door pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Khun Vegas, the master has sent for you. He said khun Kinn has something to discuss."

I closed the lid and put the box back in the drawer, glancing towards the bedroom door. I wondered what Pete was doing, but I'd check on him later.

I walked to the guest office where Kinn was probably waiting. After dismissing all the bodyguards, I was curious about what the main family wanted, given that everything was out in the open now.

"What brings you here, big brother? Is there something you need my advice on?" Advice, huh.

"You know why I'm here." Surely, they hadn't just figured out that Pete was with me. If so, they hadn't done a great job of looking after the subordinate they claimed to care so much about.

"I don't know. Or does Porsche miss me?"

"Miss you? It's good enough that I'm not bringing up how you kidnapped Porsche, you bastard." I looked at Porsche. The interest I once had in him was completely gone. He was intriguing, yes, but only because of what I knew about his background.

"Oops. The cat's out of the bag."

"You know you've made many mistakes, and soon your family will face problems."

I sipped my wine. Issues between the main family and the second family? I was getting tired of it all.

"So, if you have anything that belongs to the main family, I suggest you return it. It might lessen your punishment."

*Bang* Kinn thought he could just send someone to take back what was mine. The person who has stayed with me all this time, who is mine.

Pete is mine!

"There's nothing here that belongs to the main family. Everything here is mine."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure. If you have no more business, you and Porsche can leave. I won't be seeing you off."

"Oh, and don't wander around. This place isn't like the main family's house. The bodyguards here have orders to shoot on sight."

I downed the rest of my wine before heading back to my room. I understood what Pete suggested. It's true I can't keep him like this forever. Today proved that the main family knows Pete is with me, even if it took them a long time to realize.

If it weren't for our shared tastes, the main family would have found his corpse two days after he snuck in.

"Drinking wine this early, huh?" Pete put down his book and spoke to me as I lay down beside him.

"Kinn and Porsche came to talk to me."

"What happened?" Pete moved closer, his eyebrows knitting with worry. I couldn't resist flicking his forehead lightly.

"They came to take you back." Pete rubbed his forehead, looking at me confusedly before a look of understanding crossed his face.

"And there wasn't a serious argument or anything, right?"
