Porsche's POV

I'm so frustrated with Kinn. Pete just got back and hasn't even had a chance to rest in his own room, and now he's being ordered to be locked up again. I should have just taken him back to his room, let him shower, and then brought him to see everyone. But no, I thought it would be better since everyone was tense and in the middle of a planning meeting.

Fuck this.

So annoyed.

I walked back to the meeting room, where the tense atmosphere was just as it was before, like when we were deciding when to call Pete's grandmother.

Tankhun looked ready to scratch Kinn's face for Pete's sake, while Kinn sat with his head in his hands.

"I've locked him up, as you ordered."

Tankhun turned to look at me before snapping back at Kinn.

"And if I say I suspect Porsche, should I order him to be locked up too? Just because you're the only one who trusts him, huh?" Wait, what does this have to do with me?

"Be reasonable, Tankhun. I didn't want to do this."

"If you don't want to, then let him out."

"Tankhun!!"

"Uh, Kinn, what did you want to show me?" It was Arm who interrupted at just the right moment.

"Find out how Pete got back here."

"Yes... uh, it's..."

"What is it? Replay it." I quickly walked over to take a look.

The footage showed the back of a car parked at the edge of the camera's view. If zoomed in, the license plate might be visible. The car stayed parked for a while before someone opened the door on the passenger side. It was Pete in a white shirt. He got out, shut the door without looking back, and walked straight into the main house.

At one point, the driver's side door opened slightly but then closed again as if the person inside changed their mind. The car remained parked until Pete disappeared inside the house, then it drove away.

"And now how do you expect me to interpret this?" Kinn asked his brother, whose face was now bewildered.

"Well, someone helped him escape and drove him here, that's all." Seriously? That's your excuse?

"Look closely, Tankhun. That's not a bodyguard's car."

"How would I know that?"

"So why would Pete lie to us?" When I asked, the whole room fell silent.

"That's why I had to lock him up. I've always trusted him until he came back."

"I don't care. I'm confident that my Pete would never betray me, never betray the main family, and never be a mole!"
