CHAPTER XIV: MON AMOUR

Taehyung arrived at the hospital, his heart racing with a mix of worry and anticipation. As he stepped into Hailey's room, he found her sitting up in bed, looking much better than the day before. Her eyes lit up when she saw him, a smile spreading across her face."Hey there, clumsy," Taehyung teased, leaning against the door frame. "How's my favorite patient doing today?"

Hailey rolled her eyes playfully. "I'm doing just fine, thank you. How was your night in my room ? Did you have a good sleep?". He chuckled, walking over to sit by her bed. "Oh, it's been tough. Your room is so good and neat that I almost forgot how much I missed your sass and especially teasing you. But the bed has your scent so I did have a good sleep".
She laughed, the sound filling the room with warmth. "Well, I'm glad I could make you happy."

Taehyung leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You know, Hailey,"Every love song I've ever heard suddenly makes sense now that I've met you."Hailey blushed, the pink tint coloring her cheeks. "Every love song makes sense when I think of you."

They both laughed, the playful banter easing the tension of the past few days. Taehyung took care of Hailey since the day she got admitted. He got permission from her parents and is taking good care of her. Since then, the special bond they shared has blossomed into a beautiful, everlasting love.

Taehyung reached out, taking her hand in his. "Seriously, Hailey, I'm really glad you're okay. I was worried."Hailey squeezed his hand gently. "I know, Mr. Kim . Thank you for always being here."He looked into her eyes, his expression softening. "I wouldn't be anywhere else, Mrs Kim"

Just then, the door opened, and Jungkook walked in, carrying a bouquet of flowers. "Hey, Hailey! I brought these for you."Hailey's eyes sparkled mischievously as she took the flowers. "Thank you, Jungkook! They're beautiful."

Taehyung narrowed his eyes playfully. "Trying to steal my girl, Jungkook?"Jungkook laughed, shaking his head. "Nah, just being a good friend and the best agent as I am . But Taehyung, you better step up your game."Hailey winked at Taehyung. "Yeah, Tae. What are you gonna do to keep me around?"

Taehyung stood up, leaning over Hailey, his face inches from hers. "I think I'll start by telling you how much you mean to me every single day,each word denoting each kiss I give you" he murmured, his eyes locked on hers. "And maybe, I'll remind you that you're the reason my heart beats a little faster."Hailey's breath caught in her throat, her heart racing. " Mr Kim ..." he came closer to her and brushed a strand of hair from her face, with his touch gentle. "You're the most important person in my life, Hailey. I'll do whatever it takes to feel you safe and happy , I'll make sure you know that."

Hailey's eyes glistened with emotion as she pulled him into a hug. "I already know. And I feel the same way."Jungkook smiled, backing out of the room to give them some privacy. As he closed the door, he called out, "Take care of her, hyung."Taehyung held Hailey close, his heart full of love. "Always," he whispered into her hair. "Always for my love"

It was lunchtime, and Taehyung sat beside Hailey, determined to make the meal a memorable one. He carefully lifted a spoonful of soup, aiming it toward her mouth.

"Here comes the airplane," he teased, making the spoon swoop through the air.

Hailey giggled, opening her mouth to take a bite. Just as she was about to, Taehyung mischievously diverted the spoon towards his own mouth.

"Taehyung!" she exclaimed, laughing. "That's my soup!"

"Oops," he said with a grin. "I guess I'll have to try again."

This time, he brought the spoon closer, but as he moved, his hand slipped, and a drop of soup landed on Hailey's nose. She gasped, and Taehyung's eyes widened in surprise.
"Oh no, I've made a mess," he said, reaching out to wipe it off with his thumb. "There, all better."

Hailey laughed, and as she leaned forward to playfully scold him, their faces drew closer. As Taehyung tried to tease her for soup she moved in too quickly and accidentally kissed him on the lips.

They both froze for a moment, eyes wide in surprise. Then Taehyung's lips curved into a tender smile.

"Well, that was a nice surprise," he said softly.

Hailey blushed, her heart racing. "I didn't mean to..."

"Maybe it wasn't an accident," Taehyung said, his voice low and warm. "Maybe it was meant to happen."

He leaned in, closing the distance between them, and kissed her gently. Hailey's eyes fluttered shut, her heart swelling with emotion. The kiss was soft and sweet, a perfect blend of playfulness and affection.

When they pulled away, Taehyung looked into her eyes, his hand gently cupping her cheek. "I think I could get used to this," he whispered.Hailey smiled, her cheeks still pink. "Me too."

Taehyung laughed softly, his thumb brushing against her skin. "You know, Hailey, if kisses were raindrops, I'd send you a shower."

Hailey giggled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "And if hugs were seconds, I'd send you hours."

He chuckled, leaning his forehead against hers. "Looks like we're both hopeless romantics."Hailey replied"only for you , babe " shyly. Teasingly Taehyung said "Don't make me lose my control Hailey. I'm barely able to control myself". She shushed herself and ate her lunch. He chuckled looking at her as she innocently ate .

They then spent the rest of the afternoon wrapped up in each other, sharing sweet moments and soft whispers. Taehyung continued to feed her, occasionally sneaking a bite for himself, and Hailey would laugh and tease him back.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the room, Taehyung and Hailey sat close together, their fingers intertwined. They talked about everything and nothing, their hearts full of love and laughter.

In those moments, surrounded by warmth and affection, they realized that their playful, clumsy interactions were what made their bond so special. They didn't need grand gestures or elaborate words. All they needed was each other, and the simple, beautiful moments they shared.

An Unexpected Adventure
Before the day of discharge

It was a quiet afternoon in the hospital, and Hailey found herself staring out the window, longing for a change of scenery. Just then, Taehyung walked into her room, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Hey, Hailey! Want to go on an adventure?"

Hailey raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "An adventure? In a hospital?"

Taehyung grinned. "Why not? We'll make our own fun!We don't need permission, do we?"

With a laugh, Hailey agreed, and they set off on their impromptu adventure. They wandered through the hospital corridors, exploring every nook and cranny they could find.

They stumbled upon a forgotten storage closet filled with old medical equipment, and Taehyung couldn't resist trying on a doctor's coat and stethoscope. Hailey pretended to be his patient, and they both dissolved into fits of giggles as he gave her a mock examination.

Their laughter echoed through the halls as they continued their journey, finding hidden alcoves and secret passageways they never knew existed. They even discovered a rooftop garden, a peaceful oasis amidst the chaos of the hospital.

As they sat together, surrounded by blooming flowers and chirping birds, Taehyung turned to Hailey with a soft smile.

"You know, Hailey," he said gently, "even in the most unexpected places, I always find the most amazing adventures when I'm with you."

Hailey felt her heart swell with emotion. "Me too, doctor Kim. Me too."

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the rooftop garden, Hailey and Taehyung sat side by side, their hands intertwined. And as they watched the sky turn shades of pink and orange, they knew that their small adventure in the hospital was just the beginning of a lifetime of love and laughter together.
