Demigods at High School (Theyna)

⚡️Chapter Three🏹

Thalia's POV

As the school day ended and the bell rang, I made my way into the hallway and looked around for Reyna. My last class, science in room 213, was one of the few classes I didn't have with her.

"Thalia!" A voice called from behind me. I turned to see Reyna smiling and trudging through the crowd of students to meet me.

"Hey, Reyna." I said and smiled back at her as she reached where I was standing.

"How was your class?" She asked me as we started walking.

"It was sooo boring. The teacher kept going on and on about stuff. I thought I was going to die of boredom." I said before asking, "How was yours?"

"The same thing with the teacher going on and on, but she made jokes here and there. Overall Ms. K is a pretty fun teacher, though she is kind of strict on rules."

"Of course you get a fun teacher and I get stuck with a boring and mean one." I complained and rolled my eyes. "So unfair."

"Don't you have Percy in class with you?" she asked.

And as if on cue, Percy called back, "Hurry up, Pinecone Face. You take forever!"

"Whatever, Kelp Head" I called back to him. I turned back to Reyna and answered. "Yeah, unfortunately I do. You're with Annabeth, right?"

"Yeah, we somehow got onto the topic of you two." She said, to which I elbowed her in the rib and smirked at her. She rolled her eyes at me before clarifying. "About how you and Percy would be causing chaos and making stupid comments." Somehow she knew exactly what happened at the beginning of class before the teacher lectured us and made us stop.

By now we had made it outside and were standing with the rest of the group. The group now consisted of Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Leo, Frank, Hazel, Calypso, Will, Nico and now Reyna and I.

"So, now that we're all here." Leo started. "I was thinking that we could go and explore the city."

"You do know how dumb that is, right?" Percy asked. "For a group of" he paused to count. "12 demigods to go out, it's basically us asking to get attacked by monsters."

"I much as I hate to admit it," Nico began. "Percy has a point."

"Can you please repeat that?" Percy asked with a smirk.

"You heard me perfectly fine the first time." Nico said, sending a glare at Percy. "But yeah, it be stupid to do that."

"Nico, we know you're only saying this so you have an excuse to return to your cave of darkness" Will joked. Nico sent him a halfhearted glare.

"So, we're going into town to explore because it's the irresponsible option?" I asked. There was a chorus of agreement. "Ok, so how are we supposed to get there, because I know walking would take like 10-15 minutes."

"I saw that there's a bus that takes students to town after school and on weekends." Reyna said from beside me.

"Or I could just shadow travel us there." Nico suggested.

"No!" Reyna and Will said in unison.

"Nico, you almost melted into shadows every time you used your powers until like, what three months ago? Over my dead body, I'm letting you shadow travel over something as minor as this." Reyna scolded.

Simultaneously, Will asked, "What part 'No unnecessary Underworld-y magic' do you not understand?"

"You're so dramatic." Nico said. Reyna and Will both sent him a glare. They both started to complain about Nico overusing his power. "Fine, we'll take the bus that'll take longer." He sent a glare back at both of them.

We all probably would've stayed there unsure how to continue, if it wasn't for Percy. "So, how exactly do we get to this bus?"

"Right," Reyna said, her attention slowly drifting away from Nico. "It's right over there." She pointed to the right. 50 feet in that direction was a medium sized bus. The bus was colored light blue with 'Oakland High School' written on the sides of the bus in dark blue.

We all made our ways towards the bus. We climbed in and as soon as we were all seated, the bus lurched forwards and we started to town.
