You and Spencer have been dating for five strong years, and he's so in love with you that he wants to ask you to marry him, but has no idea how. His awkwardness keeps getting in the way, and he wants to make sure it's perfect. He has had the ring for so long; he stares at it this morning, saying that today will be the day to finally ask you.

After a long work day at a desk, you and Spencer go on a walk in a large park by your shared apartment. He's still carrying his satchel, the ring box being in there.

"You know, during the sunset, the light from the sun must pass through a greater area of the atmosphere, which results in an even greater scattering of blue light. As red has the longest wavelength of visible light, a greater proportion of red light reaches the Earth. Thus, the sun and sky appear a red color during sunsets," he rambles on as you both walk slowly through the park, hand in hand. You chuckle at his rambles, finding it adorable.

"Yeah, I like the sunset too," you respond as you stare off into said sunset.

He looks at your profile, your face staring out into the sunset; it illuminates your features perfectly. He loves when you smile and laugh, you are so carefree it's hard not to fall in love with you more each day. He's still holding his bag strap and he finally musters the audacity to ask you.

"(Y/N), I have something I want to ask you." He stops walking and looks at the ground briefly.

"Go for it," you respond happily. He looks nervous for some reason and his body flinches like he was going to sit down but he stands up straight. He clears his throat and grips his bag strap tighter, you looking at him confused, wondering why he looks like this.

He pulls out the small navy blue box out of his bag and your eyes widen with shock. He's always been a shy and introverted person, but he was even shyer than usual right now.

"(Y/N), it's been five wonderful years we've, uh, had together, and I think..."

He's tripping over his words. His hands are visibly quivering as he takes one knee down. His face becomes an even redder shade than it was when the sun hit his face. He chuckles once then looks up at you with that mesmerizing smile.

"Will you marry me?"

You stare down at him in awe, one of your hands covering your mouth so that it doesn't get too dry from hanging open. Your eyes water seeing him in the beautiful red sunlight as you nod your head up and down quickly, moving your hand to speak.

"Yes!" you say enthusiastically yet somewhat shakily. His jaw drops as he watches you happily nod your head, your hands covering your mouth with shock and excitement ,and he can't help the smile that appears on his face. He grabs your hand, pulling it away from your face and holds your hand. A few tears are visible in his eyes as he sees the sunlight casting the perfect light into your eyes. A few people walking by stop to see what's going on as Spencer rises from the ground. You chuckle happily and cup his cheeks, pulling him in and kiss his lips forcefully from being excited, smiling the whole time.

He gladly reciprocates the kiss and pulls you in, holding you tighter to his body. You can hear some claps around you and congratulations to both of you. He can't help but smile and blush; it feels like the love is radiating from his whole body. It is the most happiest moment he has had in his life so far and is so thankful for the love of his life, you.

"Oh no." you whisper and cover your smiling face with your hands and then bury your super red face into him. You're clearly embarrassed by the attention you're getting.
