Dearest Sable,

Once again, I am so glad to hear that you are happy and that your relationship with Coryo progresses smoothly. Quite the opposite of Flint, I'm afraid. If he does come to the wedding, be cautious. He claims that if you do not call off the wedding while he's there, then you do not truly love him and you have betrayed 12. I fear he may do something drastic. But do not be too hard on him, he acts only out of his foolish, selfish, misguided love. I wrote to him quite firmly about it and he may not respond—we shall see. I cannot wait to see you in 2 days time! I hope we can have a moment to ourselves, perhaps after the wedding. Coryo sounds very charming and accommodating. Does he know we are from 13? Shall we meet him somewhere else? I only fear that he will find out too much and ruin everything 13 has worked so hard to establish—they are plotting against him after all. I am pleased to say my dress (and Cillian's suit) are finished! He brought me flowers to dye the fabric with, so we're matching and colourful now. Be careful that Snow—I mean Coryo—is not looking for a replacement of Lucy Gray in you, make sure he loves you for you. Of course it will not affect the marriage, but it will give you comfort to know. You are the best and most worthy first lady Panem could ask for.

Love,

Gillenia

Flint,

Please accept my apologies.

I was under the impression you would be thinking rationally. I didn't think you'd go to the wedding, but if you're going to make a scene and embarrass Sable and get yourself in trouble, then please stay home. Sable betrayed no one. 12 is an abysmal place and she deserves better. Do you not think she could be of more help from inside the Capitol and close to Snow? And if she does end up falling in love with him, I hope they live happily. She will never forget 12, her friends, or what is most important—YOU are the one dismissing these things. Who's to say she ever loved you? You were/are so in love with her you can't see past your own selfishness. I don't think she ever loved you the way you think. Take care of yourself.

Perhaps I'll see you at the wedding.

—Gillenia
